College Visit
We stayed here to view UW. Only 4 blocks from Campus. There was free parking and we were allowed to check in early; before 10 am. Rooms are very clean with comfortable beds and pillows Staff was knowledgeable and kind; the breakfast lady asked everyone before she cleaned up if they wanted more breakfast. You could hear the street noise but we were in an urban setting. It was 160.00/night with tax so it wasn't a bargain price. Overall, we were very happy with the hotel

The best 2-star hotel
We stayed at the University Inn because we had a medical appt. at the UW Adoption Clinic and we had to take care of passport issues. This was the perfect hotel for convenience (a fairly short drive to downtown and just a block away from the clinic). Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great and parking is free.

University Inn
I have stayed here before. I was surprised I was able to get a room during check-in week at UW! I appreciate the location because it is so close to UW. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean. It smelled good. This is very important to me. Check in was quick. Check out was speedy. Can't beat the price!

UW neighborhood
Having been to other urban cities, when I read that University Inn was just 4 blocks from UW, I figured it would be a 15-20 walk...wrong! It literaly is in the backyard of the massive campus. Sure, if you need to get to the center of the campus it'll take a bit of time. It is a family type of hotel that allows four-legged family to stay also. That was way cool. The room was clean, modern and the bathroom looked to have been remodeled recently. There are lots of extras like the Keurig coffee maker, bottled water, microwave, refrigerator, safe, plenty of drawer/closet space and Wi-Fi which sometimes was hard to connect to. But, hey, everything else makes up for it! Shuttle service was a plus but, you need to book ASAP because they filled up fast! Breakfast every morning was another big plus. We are not big breakfast eaters but there were 3 different cereals, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, milk, french toast, bagels, OJ, coffee. At 3 p.m. or so a tray full of mini pineapple cupcakes with a yummy frosting finds it way out to the lobby. I being a caffeine addict loved that whenever we left the hotel and came back at all hours there was a thermos full of Starbucks coffee waiting for me! The check in desk was very friendly and pleasant. But, something was amiss. I know this isn't a large chain hotel with fancy titles for different positions but, they sufficed. There are lots of eateries in the close proximity.

This place is literally 40 steps away on Roosevelt Way. Only open for breakfast/brunch. So dinners. Food was excellent and portions are large enough to share!

Have stayed with University Inn numerous
Staff are always very helpful. The room that we had time time was somewhat worn and smelled of chemicals. Towels were old and frayed. Would not have been a complaint,but the price was $179.00 per night so would have expected better.
