What a pleasant surprise the University Inn was! Great staff, lovely continental breakfast and superb room, squeaky clean! Great location and we loved the retro look and feeling of this hotel! Great place to hold our family reunion! Will be back for sure!

Many places nearby for excellent dining. The staff was most helpful with recommendations and directions either by foot or public transportation. Awesome staff!!!

College Visit
We stayed here to view UW. Only 4 blocks from Campus. There was free parking and we were allowed to check in early; before 10 am. Rooms are very clean with comfortable beds and pillows Staff was knowledgeable and kind; the breakfast lady asked everyone before she cleaned up if they wanted more breakfast. You could hear the street noise but we were in an urban setting. It was 160.00/night with tax so it wasn't a bargain price. Overall, we were very happy with the hotel

Nearly perfect experience
Everything was great, except that our air conditioner didn't work the first night. We transferred our stuff to another room for the next 3 nights. That room had a new air conditioner with digital temperature control. Be sure to check your A/C unit before you unload all of your luggage. Except for this problem, hotel was great. Clean rooms, hot water, nice retro decor in lobby area, lots of smart professor types in the breakfast area. But be sure to request the south building in a quiet room away from busy Roosevelt Way for a quieter stay.

Chinook's seafood restaurant, about 4 miles away in Magnolia, is awesome! We ate there twice during our stay and the seafood was spectacular!

Great for UW visit
Great loocatuion if visiting one of the UW meidcal clinics. Bit of a themed hotel - 60's, beds very comfortable, but location naturally noisy. Also difficlt to find the entrance and parking lot (inside the courtyard).

The best 2-star hotel
We stayed at the University Inn because we had a medical appt. at the UW Adoption Clinic and we had to take care of passport issues. This was the perfect hotel for convenience (a fairly short drive to downtown and just a block away from the clinic). Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great and parking is free.

Best value and service bar none!
Without exception, the friendliest and most helpful staff, best price and endless hot, fresh coffee, tea, cocoa, etc. Convenient laundry, parking and shuttle. Can't say enough about entire experience. Would definitely stay again. For almost 3 weeks, the location is perfect for the U WA tower and campus or medical district. And Trader Joe's not far, farmer's market, etc. Great mattress.

IT'S SMART TO STAY AT THE UNIVERSITY INN
Driving to Seattle from Bellingham is an experience in traffic! The convenience of leaving the freeway at 50th just a before the traffic comes to a halt...is wonderful.University Inn is convenient, clean and a friendly place. The room had everything we needed, the parking is included in the room rate and they have a free shuttle to downtown and other parts of the city. The in-house breakfast is fine but the breakfast place next door is fabulous. A lovely walk around the UW campus on Sunday morning after breakfast and then it was an easy jump onto the freeway to get to the Mariner's game in SoDo.

University Inn
I have stayed here before. I was surprised I was able to get a room during check-in week at UW! I appreciate the location because it is so close to UW. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean. It smelled good. This is very important to me. Check in was quick. Check out was speedy. Can't beat the price!
