Good Times at the Westin
The Westin is surrounded by many great restaurants within easy walking distance. There are also great hole in the wall Deli's. The Hotel staff is aware of these places and can direct you to several. Shopping at Macy's and Nordstroms is an easy walk. These are only two of several places and boutiques, that are in the area. The Hotel is located in an exytremly good spot. Pikes market is only a couple of blocks away, and an easy walk if one wants to enjoy the downtown atmosphere.

Great stay in the heart of Seattle.
We had a meeting in Kirkland and wanted a downtown hotel for the night before returning home. We had a great time at the Westin.

bad first taste, but things improved
When I checked in it was obvious that the room cleaning had been a rush job: there was trash on the dresser, dirty soap in the soap dish and, quite honestly, I'm not sure that I slept in clean sheets the first night. I complained next morning, and things were fine after that. But I wouldn't stay there again. Also, valet parking was ridiculously expensive. (I think tonier places, like Inn at the Market, offer cheaper valet rates.)

Not so special.
We have stayed at a lot of westin hotels, and have been very happy in the past. This visit however was a disappointment. They like to hype their heavenly beds, but ours was a retractible bed, and the box springs were saggy in the middle. To make matters worse, the room was very noisy. All of the sounds made within a couple room area was heard. For the price, and the reputation of these hotels...this was a downer. Just make sure if you book with them you dont get the fold up bed. The hotel is in a good location, and thats about all i can say positive for this visit.

Great room and loacation !!!
We were able to check in early which meant we could drop off our luggage and return the rental car. Check in was very quick. They let us park out front of the hotel for quite a while. We were able to quickly settle into our room and change clothes. The room had a great view and was nice and clean- loved the pillows. We were within close walking distance to a mall and Pike Place Market. We felt very safe walking at night. We were very close to the metro which brought you directly to the Needle in less than two minutes and is free. The concierge was very helpful at giving directions- he got out a " tourist map" and highlighted the route for us to take a bus ride to the Museum of Flight.

We took a city bus that started out underground for a 35 minute ride to the Museum of Flight. It was only $1.75 out and $2.00 back during peak hours. The bus stop was only 2 blocks from the hotel. The museum was filled with WW 1 and WW2 planes right up through space coverage. We toured the plane Nixon flew to China on. The museum fee was reasonable and we had a great lunch there too.

Great Hotel and Centrally Located
This hotel is beautiful! I was on the 41st floor directly across from the Space Needle and a gorgeous view of the water. Beautiful room with great amenities. It was only a couple of blocks to major dept store shopping (Nordstroms, Macy's etc) and about 6 blocks to Pikes Market. A nice 1 mile walk to the Space Needle (That's a must see. Have lunch at the restaurant. You'll get a beautiful clear view of all Seattle from the restaurant as it turns constantly. View from the observation deck is obstructed with wires) These are a couple of places I ate that I would definately recommend you visit: Salumi's (Pioneer Square. The BEST salami's and lunch meat you will ever have) Beechers Cheese Shop (Pikes Market. Delicious cheese they make right there and a grilled cheese sandwich like no other!) Cutters (Pikes Market. You have to get the Halibut Cheeks and Salmon/Crab Chowder. Awesome!) I took my teenage son for a short 3 day trip and he really enjoyed it as much as I did. So much great seafood and such a perfect city for walking around. Its super clean, the locals are very friendly. Great visit!!!

Great Location for Seattle stay
travelers need to understand the bus line routing, it will save alot of headachs as they were not always on time, alternates were not identifiable at the bus stops.
