Great hotel for our first trip
Chris Nov 15, 2009
This was our first trip to Seattle and the hotel staff was extremely helpful. On our first night, we got an overview of the ... city and an annotated tour map. Our room was excellent and had a great view of the Space Needle. The hotel also offers free car service in-and-around the downtown area, which was really convenient.

A "Pan"tastic Stay in Seattle
Frank Nov 1, 2009
PanPacific Seattle is on the border of Downtown & Union which makes it centrally located for easy access to Pike Place, ... Westlake Center & the Center. We walked wherever we went. The staff was helpful & friendly. A Whole Foods Market is located on the lower level of the complex. However, we paid a bit more for parking than we would have liked.
Traveler type: Couples
There are dozens of restaurants located a short walk from the hotel in Westlake. Pick one, make a reservation, and enjoy a leisurely stroll to dinner. Pike Place is a bit longer of a walk but well worth it.

Excellent Hotel in Plaza
Ann Sep 30, 2009
Went to Seattle to attend two hometown concerts and had a blast. Did some sightseeing as well. The staff at the Pan Pacific ... Hotel in Seattle were helpful, accomodating, and attentive. The hotel is located in a plaza with shops and a full service grocery store just steps away. The ONLY thing that caught me by surprise was the room bar which had small print cautioning you that anything removed would be automatically charged to your folio - it was computerized. I took everything out and used it as a fridge and only saw the sticker warning of charges on the third day there. I immediately called the front desk and they said not to worry and it would be removed from my bill... and it was!

Nice hotel in outskirts of CBD
Coosome twosome Sep 8, 2009
What's nice - well appointed hotel right above a Whole Foods grocery (unbeatable convenience in food/supplies/deli). Nice ... modern decor, quiet rooms, small boutique feel. Street parking available on weekends (unlike CBD area), which allowed us to avoid valet parking ($33 per day!). What's not - got a corner room, very clean and nicely decorated, w/ a good view of Space Needle, but had a weird L shape around the bathroom. Long entrance corridor with bathroom door is opposite large wardrobe (when open, wardrobe doors blocks the way--should have had sliding doors). Desk was positioned in the corner w/ easy chair, so desk chair also blocks the way into the bed area. Location is outside of CBD, so it's a good 10-15 min walk slightly uphill to Pike Place Market or other attractions. That said, it's right next to a Streetcar station, and walking distance from Westlake mall (and bus/monorail Transit hall).
Traveler type: Couples
Avoid valet parking by looking for street parking (free on Sundays & public holidays, and from 7pm til 7am).

We were there only for one day, ready to catch a cruise the next morning, but it couldn't have been better. The staff was ... friendly and knowledgeable and the restaurant and bar were cozy and pleasant. We walked the downtown area and window shopped and did a quick tour of the fish market. I wish he had had more time to be tourists, ....and to spend in the hotel. Loved the big bathtub!!

Very Beautiful and High-End Rooms.
RG Aug 22, 2009
I live in Seattle and we stayed in this hotel as we were getting ready to move to a new city. The rooms here were truly ... first rate. Bose sound system, amazing bath room fixtures, DVD player, luxurious sheets. I spend 200 nights a year at hotels and this was among the best. Location is great if you want to be a litte away from downtown and the main tourist area. Its only a 10 minute walk there or a quick street car ride but I like staying here b/c you are close to some great restaurants (SeaStar and Tutta Bella) right in the hotel building are standouts. I would definitely stay here again whether on business or pleasure. Ronnie

A great new hotel
Traveler Jul 31, 2009
The hotel was very comfortable and clean. It is in easy walking distance to the Space Needle and Seattle Center. There is a ... streetcar stop right outside that takes you downtown. The wifi was free--a pleasant surprise. The limo service was free to downtown areas during the morning hours and late afternoon hours--this is a super service.
Traveler type: Couples
The hotel and some restaurants provided free limo services at certain times of the day. The buses and streetcars in downtown Seattle are also free during the day. This helped with getting around. The new light train was easy to ride once we figured out the ticketing process--$3.50/person for two hours.

NB Jul 22, 2009
Great luxury hotel. We booked a Queen room at almost half price through Orbitz and were upgraded to a huge King Supreme ... room....really huge which was nice since we were there for four nights. Staff were professional and cordial (but not necessarily warm). The hotel is located in South Lake Union which is not really happening just yet (lots of vacant new construction - probably a result of the economy) but will probably be a hot neighborhood in a few years. The Whole Foods downstairs does draw some life to the area.Either way, it was fine for us since it's walkable to downtown, seattle center, and capitol hill and we didnt want to stay in a super-touristy downtown hotel.

More style than substance
rogger Jul 20, 2009
Three stars if the Pan Pacific did not pretend to be above average. Many poor design features. Huge bath for wheelchair ... access was apparently standard. Wide bathroom door could have opened into bath against shower wall but instead opened out and blocked hallway. Roll-in shower with inadequate curtain resulted in water all over the floor. Grab bars @ shower and toilet but no towel rack anywhere. Large soaking tub with high, thick sides and no grab bar appeared dangerous when getting in or out. Small sink situated at back of counter was hard to reach and drain plug would not hold water. Sliding doors, repeatedly opened by maid, exposed entire bath to living area. Magnifying mirror on low counter required stooping to see into it. No closet but a huge wardrobe in hallway with doors that blocked the hallway when open. Full-length mirror in dark hallway. Two recessed fixtures in hallway but the halogen floodlights had been replaced with dimmer CFL sticks and the light from one of those was blocked by the top of wardrobe. Three phones but no clock with visible readout at night. Repeated problems with the TV which "had its own computer" that repeatedly crashed. TV remote failed. Electronic hall door lock failed. Window that supposedly opened wouldn't. Heating/Air Conditioning was central but noisy and blew across the bed all night long, like an individual room unit in a Super 8. Cheap reproductions and sucker original "art" throughout hotel. Good desk chair. Great European-style toilet.

Fantastic Service
JAK Jul 13, 2009
The service at this hotel was impeccable. Very modern rooms with great bathrooms and fantastic views. Having a Whole Foods ... market downstairs was a plus. The only negative is that it was a few blocks to the prime tourist spots e.g. Pike Place Market etc. If the weather is nice, and you are up for a stroll, then I would definitely recommend this hotel.
