Potential to be a great hotel, but needs work on providing a consistent experience

Had to book reservation through a travel website due to difficulty with the Hotel's direct reservations service. Room was extremely clean when I arrived, but housekeeping did not clean all parts of the room each day (e.g. ice bucket cleaned some days but not others, etc.). Check-in staff was friendly, but check-out staff was not helpful and was a bit rude. Front desk staff did not mention they had a shuttle that was available to take me to the Space Needle, even though I asked the easiest way to get there. Their shuttle drove by me while I walked to the Space Needle. No room service available, even though the hotel has a restaurant on site that could potentially deliver to the rooms. Putting the restaurant menu in the room would have been a logical option, so the guest could at least see if it was worthwhile to go down to the restaurant. The upstairs neighbor was very noisy. After repeated noise complaints to the front desk, the upstairs neighbor should have been required to leave the hotel or move to a ground floor room. I had to endure being woken up by the upstairs neighbor in the middle of the night throughout the duration of my stay. The room was nicely decorated and the hotel is in a convenient location, and the free parking is its best amenity.

Seattle Sightseeing Destination

Close to the Space Needle (however, a LONG walk to rest of downtown). Has a shuttle that can take you to destinations downtown--so helpful! Free parking, always ample. Only complaint was our room was SO noisy, right next to a service closet.

Great stay!

I spent one night at the Maxwell with my grandmother. The location is great, within easy walking distance of the Seattle Center. Free parking is provided (during our stay the underground garage was being worked on, so we were provided with access cards for the garage across the street), as well as a free shuttle to downtown. All of the employees were friendly, helpful, and professional. The room was beautiful and comfortable. I was happy that there was a Keurig coffee maker with sweetener and 1/2 and 1/2 (not the powdered stuff you get in many hotels). The only drawback for this hotel is the price.

Staying at Maxwell House

The beds were so comfortable! I usually struggle in a hotel bed. Nice big screen TV, good AM coffee with a tea option too. Beautiful decor in the rooms and everywhere. Free parking. Nice opaque drapes to block out the light. To get a five star from me it would need more food options for those coming late or leaving early. They have a nice hotel bar (but I had a child with me). The guy at the desk referred us to a fantastic restaurant though.

It could also be a long walk. Try China Uptown - fabulous food and reasonable prices! Only $3 for a small saki. The food is so fresh. The best almond chicken we have ever tasted.

Great hotel but wouldn't recommend the "Rock"

The hotel was great! Clean and modern with beautiful rooms and a polite staff. Avoid the "Rock" though, it was terribly understaffed making for a mind numbingly long dinner and the food was horrible! I had ice cold "sauteed" onions and peppers covered in pepper seeds under a luke warm, overcooked burger topped with an unmelted slice of cheese the consistency of cardboard and a burnt bun. 2 out of the 3 of us proceeded to get food poisoning!

Great location, very nice hotel

We would definitely return to this hotel! I felt it was reasonably priced, and our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Easy walk to Seattle Center (4 blocks) and convenient to public transportation and many restaurants.

Solid

Good location with free parking and free wifi make for good value on this hotel. The rooms were also uncommonly large.
