modern and fun

A great hotel choice! very modern, green and fun. We loved the location. It had a free shuttle go various places. I loved the coffee and cupcakes in the afternoon. The rooms were beautiful and modern. Great hotel and great price for everything it offered. I wish I would have had time to try the bike rental. cheap town car taxi to the port of Seattle for our cruise, about 20 dollars. Note there is no shuttle from the airport or to the port.

Beautiful clean hotel

This was an awesome hotel that is within walking distance to the space needle. It's also within walking distance to some great boutique restaurants which was a plus. The hotel staff was very friendly and they offer a free shuttle service within a 3 mile radius. This was a great savings as parking is expensive in the city. By the way, the hotel parking is free, secured, and covered. The bed was comfortable and the decor was modern. This is one of the best hotels I've stayed at due to the little free things they offered such as umbrellas, bikes, wifi, parking, and coffee.

Toulouse Petit restaurant had a great breakfast. Some of the food items were featured on the Food Network. The French toast and the pork cheeks were delicious.

Great location!

Very nice and attentive staff. Having the shuttle van available to hotel guests is a huge plus! The room is a decent size and nicely decorated. The down side is little drawer space and no where to hang our coats and put our wet umbrellas. For a place like Seattle it is imperative to have those things. The water pressure is terrible in the shower. The bed was very comfortable. The restaurant associated with the hotel is so so. Big bummer is the cafe in the lobby sells Starbucks. We enjoyed our stay but with so many rooms to rent in Seattle we will most likely go someplace different next time.

Nice Place

We stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed the hotel. It lacks a few amenities--restaurant, bar, but the location is very good for downtown attractions and the room was spacious and comfortable. I'd recommend it for a nice place to stay in Seattle.

Nice place

This hotel is a nice, clean place that offers a welcoming stay to all travelers. Stylish decor and nice perks mean that you feel comfortable checking in and staying either alone or with family. Hotel staff was extremely pleasant without being fake. I love that the place is connected to a new restaurant that has a tasty menu (try the quesadillas), great service, and flexible with guest needs. Room service was very fast. The hotel room itself was clean, and the mattress was very comfortable. The shower was a walk-in shower (no door/no tub) which I didn't know beforehand. The shower itself was comfortable, great water pressure, and I loved the Tommy Bahama products. The neighborhood is nice, at the foot of Queen Anne, so I could walk to the EMP museum and the Space Needle if I wanted to. Restaurants and other cool things were a short walk, cab ride or bus away. FREE PARKING FREE PARKING FREE PARKING!! This was such a lifesaver for me. I appreciate it and can't compliment this enough. I was a little baffled why there was no hotel guide in the room. There was no booklet, pamphlet, etc. in the room that allowed me to see what amenities the hotel had to offer or how to access the wi-fi. I would have liked to know there was a spa because I could have used a pedicure. The toiletries in the rooms are limited to wall-dispensed soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel. There's no basket of complimentary items readily available in room, but since I didn't forget anything I needed I don't know if these items are available upon request. One thing to note: there are nice hardwood floors in the rooms. This was so slick and stylish, but I could hear people above me moving about A LOT. It was like having elephants over my head. Also, the heating/cooling unit was extremely noisy so I had to use high volume on the TV and didn't get a solid night's sleep the entire time because of the heating unit (I'm not a light sleeper). All in all, I would stay there again, but preferably on the top floor and I would ask for a couple extra sets of blankets so I could have used the heating unit less.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Stay here if you want to see attractions like the space needle, the EMP museum and the ballet. Also, stay here if you want to go to the Gates foundation. There's a monorail that goes downtown for a nominal fee so that you can access downtown attractions without the cost. Rent a car and park it so you can go further distances without having to stay in hotel far away.

Clean, Friendly, Good Location

The hotel is clean. The staff is very friendly, and the location is prime--close to downtown Seattle and its neighborhoods. One gripe I had was the limited parking spots it had, but other than that, top notch!

Christmas at the Maxwell

Located just two blocks from our daughter's apartment with convenient access to Seattle Center and a full spectrum of very good restaurants and shopping. Rooms are very comfortable with Wi-Fi, bottled water, coffee and popcorn included. Very clean and enjoyable hotel. New pizza restaurant and bar off the lobby just opened - not sure this is a good fit for the Maxwell but will withhold judgment until we have tried it.

Great Place

Great Hotel in a location very close to Science Center and many good restaurants. Good amenities and friendly staff. Decorating was wonderful--not the usual generic hotel decor. No cafe/restaurant in the hotel but the adjoining pizza place that is being built will be wonderful. The only suggestion I would make is that customers check out exits and stairs on arrival, as they are not clearly marked.

Great Holiday Shopping Trip

When we arrived cold from standing outside waiting for a travel connection, there was fresh brewed coffed in the lobby. It was one of the best roasts I had ever tasted. When I requested a special accomodation, staff went out of their way to satisfy my need. Each time we went to the desk for assistance, we were more than satisfied. We had a fantastic 4 night stay! Our next Seattle visit will definitely include staying at the Hotel Maxwell.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

There are good places to eat within walking, but there are some fabulous places to eat within short driving distance. Because the parking is free and so easy at the Maxwell Hotel, it was easy to split and go to the fabulous restaurants.
