Old-fashioned Hotel, Well Maintained, Great Location

If you want every possible amenity, there are newer hotels that are more slick. On the other hand, if you like history and charm, the Fairmont Olympic has plenty of that, and the facility is still very, very good. That was a winning combination for us. We would go back.

Fantastic stay

Every member of the Fairmont team we encountered was professional, friendly, warm and welcoming. Our stay was unfortunately less than 24 hours but during that time we enjoyed the gym/pool facilities twice and dined at Shucker's. My entire family loved staying at this property and experienced everything you would expect/enjoy from a 5 star property. Thank you Fairnont Olympic!!

great family getawy

great location for a city tour, close to everywhere you want to visit in Seattle. the room was good but the first day we checked in, we found some crackers on the floor and sofa, which is a little negative for its reputation.

Great stay in the heart of Seattle

The Fairmont Olympic Hotel is a beautiful hotel. The staff was excellent and our room was spotless. The room is perfectly laid out and comfortable with very high end touches. My only complaint was the size of the beds....when I booked the room it was for three-2 adults and a teenager. I assumed they would be queen size beds but I believe they were double. Also, the prices on the items stocked in the mini refrigerator were higher than most. The bottled water was $8/bottle. When we went to get our rental car on the first day, the valet's had left 2 fresh cookies and milk....nice touch. I would definately stay there again. The location was PERFECT!!

GREAT STAY

The Olympic was my favorite hotel in the US 25 years ago when it was a Four Seasons. I haven't been back to Seattle in over ten years and it is still terrific. Immaculate room, great pool and work out facilities. Will always stay there over any Boutique hotel in the City.

Thanksgiving weekend

The hotel is a grande old dame but somewhat inconsistent. The doormen were attentive and lovely, but one time, when we called ahead for our car, it wasn't there when we got to the valet 15 minutes later. I expected the hotel to be empty over the Thanksgiving weekend, but it was packed...one day our room didn't get cleaned until I told the front desk around dinner time. The food we ate at 2 breakfasts was ridiculously overpriced but delicious. the TV had the worst picture I've seen in years and the single pane windows let in lots of downtown street noise. The room was large, the beds very comfortable and it was nicely decorated. There were very few plugs for electronics and no free wifi. As I said, somewhat inconsistent. I'll try somewhere else next time.

Seattle has it's own Macy's Thanksgiving day parade that passes in front of the hotel. It was great to watch even though it poured all morning!

Spacious room for family and convenient location to the sites and shopping.

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed in a Deluxe room which was very spacious. The hotel is conveniently located to Pike's Place, stores, and near the public transportation which was free within the downtown area from 6am to 7 pm.

Gold Medal Experience

We were awe-struck by the main entry of glass and brass illuminated by the nightlights. The escalator delivered us to a spacious two-story high lobby with a perimeter mezzanine well lit by the huge dangling chandeliers. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel Terrace eatery opened into the night for late guest arrivals. Ascending the elevators seemed to take no more than the blink of the eye. The hallway and floor lobby was elegantly decorated. Entering the room provided a comfortable feeling that it was well maintained and designed to impress. Noise between rooms was non-existent. Windows could be opened to allow the exchange of fresh ari. A Gold medal experience for the Fairmont Olympic Hotel.
