Average, Not bad, Average

I enjoyed my stay! The rooms need a makeover. The Spa is expensive, nice, but expensive. Had to go to adjoining W Hotel and to Four Seasons to get early morning Bloody Mary. I was here instead of New Orleans due to the Rain and Heat in New Orleans. I LOVED SEATTLE!!!

Charming Seattle

Went for our anniversary. The Fairmont is charming and exudes old-school charm and character. The room was nice, might be starting to show some age in the carpets and paint though. Fantastic location in downtown Seattle, nice walk to Pike Place.

Old school elegance

The hotel is beautiful in a classic elegant style. The room was comfortable and tastfully decorated. It was quiet, couldn't hear other guests. We had no complaints. It is a very nice place. The staff was friendly at all times. I would stay there again.

Great location.

We are a middle aged, middle class couple who enjoy traveling. We chose the Fairmont for it location to many of the tourist sites. It was within walking distance to many things. As for the Fairmont, it was alright. No 5 stars in my opinion. It looks a bit tired and worn. The chairs in the lobby seem sagged and dirty, as is the carpet. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff wasn't very friendly. If you arrive in a $100,000 car they seem to cater to you. If not they pretty much ignore you. Also when we checked out we were charged $42 for parking, so watch your invoice closely. The Shuckers restaurant was great- excellent seafood. Also 3 Starbucks within a block- easy to grab breakfast.

Happy hour within the hotel lobby is a bargain. Cheap appetizers and drinks. We made it our dinner one night, after a long day of touring.

Fairmont at Christmas

The hotel is nicely decked out in Christmas attire. Lots of Christmas trees and garland. If you have to travel around the holidays, this is a must stay.

Downtown 24 hour get away...

Comfortable, convenient and friendly stay. Good location in terms of downtown exploration (Public Market, Pacific Place). A bit shy on food options in the more general proximity but within a 1/2 mile, lots of options to choose from. Hybrid parking for free was the bonus!

Very Nice and Convenient

One of the nicest in downtown. Views are bad. We looked at an office bldg from the 11th floor. Concierge was fabuous...all of them!!! Bath is small. Decor is a bit too victorian for my taste. We had an exec suite which I recommend for a few extra $$.

Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

If going toward the water, leave the hotel and travel pararell to Pike, them turn toward water. Reverse coming back....not as many steep hills. Purple, just across the street, is good. Lowells at Pikes is good for breakfast.

Fairmont Olympic

Our only concern was at check-in, when there was a mixup as to whether we had previously paid Orbitz for the bill. The desk staff insisted that we find the Orbitz number and call but then realized after referrals and calls to our room that there was no need to call since we had paid the bill earlier. (The problem occurred because we missed the first night due to a cancelled flight and had called the hotel but the message was not noted.)

Find the elevator coming up to the Pike Street market. It cuts out most of the walking uphill!

Very nice

Hotel restuarants were great, we ate in both. Room was large, clean, and well equipped. Hall way carpets showed wear. Very helpful staff
