Nice waterfront hotel. One of a kind and down the street from the best Seattle had to offer. Great place to get away and the waterfront balcony room was a great harbor view and very relaxing

Good if water-view room

We had a pleasant stay despite room overlooking parking lot at high rate. Previous stay with water-view room was much preferable.

Probably wouldn't go back, but has its pros

Wasn't a terrible stay, but understand this hotel is on a pier, in a very active harbor. Expect the noise that goes along with this (seagulls, boats and horns, etc). But, this means you are also close to the action at the waterfront and Belltown. Room was small but nice, staff left a little to be desired (got a very curt answer from one when asking about local restaurant suggestions). Had to call the morning of to request a late check out, and then had two people at different times walk into the room from housekeeping asking if we were checking out. Pros: free shuttle to downtown, location, great views Cons: price, noisy, and staff (felt like they wanted us out as soon as possible.)

Things to know

While I love the concept of this hotel just know. Waterfront views may be obstructed by cruise ships. Which is a bummer. And the hotel is older. And as this is Seattle. The AC is non existent. At least in the typical sense. And we blew a fuse in out room running two blow dryers at the same time. The staff however was wonderful.

Charming waterfront getaway!

We chose the Edgewater Hotel for a post-cruise stay, and the location was right next to the pier! This hotel is totally awesome…it was like being at a mountain resort. Loved the spacious well appointed water view room with the fireplace…totally comfortable and charming decor! Bathroom was roomy with a great claw foot tub. The restaurant in the hotel was excellent! We had breakfast there 3 times and loved the food and service. Best gift shop we've ever seen in any hotel lobby! The hotel is within walking distance to a lot of Seattle sites like Pikes Market, the Space Needle, and downtown shopping area. The hotel staff couldn't have been more helpful. Overall…our stay at the Edgewater was pretty much perfection!

Unbeatable location

A very fun experience--never stayed at a hotel before that was built on a pier. It's almost like waking up on a cruise ship. The best parts of Seattle are within walking distance. The lounge and restaurant are beautiful rooms, situated right on the water. Very pleasant.!

Perfect for race weekend

I was in twin for the rock n roll race and this hotel was in the perfect location for walking to the start and back from the finish. It's also very close to shopping, pike place market and the space needle. They even gave me a 2pm check out at no charge and stored my bags till 8:30 pm! Over all great experience and would def stay here again.
