Dining

Hunt Club Bar
This long, lean bar with comfortable banquette seating is a fine place to sip a smooth martini. Open nightly.
The Hunt Club
This intimate restaurant, among the most acclaimed in Seattle, serves inspired Northwest cuisine with a Mediterranean influence and complemented by an extensive wine list. With deep wood paneling, sensuously flavored foods, and twinkling candlelight at dinnertime, it's no wonder that the Hunt Club is the setting for close to 100 marriage proposals each year. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Fireside Room
Without question one of the most gorgeous public rooms in the city, the octagonal Fireside Room is the perfect place for quiet chats and light dining by the crackling fire. Original paintings by Morris Graves, plush wingback chairs and couches, gleaming mahogany-paneled walls, and rich tones of russet, ruby, and gold create a warmly inviting ambience. The focal point is the fireplace with its antique tiled pottery mosaic depicting an Italian landscape. The Fireside Room offers light dinners and a formal afternoon tea daily. On Friday and Saturday evenings live entertainment is performed by a featured musician or band. Open from early afternoon until late evening
Cafe Palma
During summer months, this Amalfi-inspired Caf offers outdoor seating and a casual menu featuring the season's freshest ingredients.

If you are used to staying at a 4 or 5 star hotel this is not it

From service to amenities, room size, bed size, and location. I might consider going back to see Dee at the lounge (he was terrific) and shuttle driver was very accommodating but otherwise no, not a 4 or 5 star experience.

More Than A Four Star Hotel

I had occasion to visit Seattle over the weekend and selected the Sorrento Hotel based upon prior reviews. My only fault with the reviews is that they were not as glowing as I found the Sorrento to be. It is an exquisite gem! From the circular courtyard to the paneled lounge it was perfect. In an age of large impersonal hotels it is indeed exceptional to find one that was built in the early 1900's and which had been thoughtfully updated. By the way the rugs in the elevator are changed daily to reflect the day of the week. Upon returning from Brahm's German Requiem at the nearby St. James Cathedral I stopped in the lounge where a very talented jazz duo was playing. For the price of a $12 B&B I spent a totally enjoyable 45 minutes. Without asking I was upgraded to a suite, which overlooked the courtyard and was impeccably furnished. The Sorrento has now become my hotel of choice in Seattle.

Old World Charm

They upgraded me to a bigger room for free. The hotel really has character, like you are going back in time to the 1920s.

Just what I needed

I needed a little pampering for my body and soul. The Sorrento did not disappoint. The beautifully appointed room, courteous and accommodating staff, the restaurant with its delicious food which were feasts for the eyes and palate and the gorgeous structure itself were the respite I needed. I also happened to love the rich history of the building itself and appreciated the aesthetic sensibility that has not been tampered with over its long existence. Classics never go out of style. Thank you, Sorrento Hotel.

Sorrento Hotel

Old World charm in the heart of downtown Seattle, the Sorrento provides a bit of luxury apart from the daily hustle & bustle of busy life. Convenient to Seattle's shopping, art museums, and restaurants, the Sorrento will take guests in a complimentary town car to your desired downtown destination. Only drawback is that is in the heart of a cluster of hospitals & emergency rooms, so there are frequent ambulances & sirens - however, the room was quiet & blocked most of it !

First Impressions Elegant and Friendly

First impressions scored big. My husband told me not to nickel and dime my long weekend trip so I chose the Sorrento as an experiment - it was heavenly, elegant, perfectly located for my needs. The town car service and 7 pillows on the bed add to the perfection.

The Perfect Stay!

I absolutely LOVED this hotel! The hotel itself is gorgeous, the lobby is all dark woods, and the rooms are super clean and comfortable. I can't say enough about the staff. They were so helpful with restaurant recommendations, directions and anything else I needed. Most of them were calling me by name by day two. The Fireside Room was a nice place to hang out, with live music on the weekends, and the bar was great, especially during happy hour. The bartender named John was very cool. They made reservations for me at Elliott's Oyster House, and sent a complimentary plate of crabcakes over to my table. Plus they have a car and driver that will take you anywhere in a 2-mile radius, you just have to tip the driver. The only bad thing I can think of to say is that the hotel is located a block away from the entrance to an emergency room. Nice if you need it, but there were lots of sirens, which you don't notice if you keep the windows closed, but I like to keep the window open. Overall, should I ever visit Seattle again, I wouldn't even think of staying anywhere but the Sorrento. They made me feel like I was the only guest in the whole hotel. I didn't want to leave!

Use their car service! Parking is very expensive all over town. I don't think I ever spent less than $6 on parking, even for only an hour. With the car service, you just have to tip the driver, and they drop you off right where you want to go, then you just have to call them to be picked up.

Great Location but Understaffed

Booked and paid for junior suite but placed in smaller room. When questioned, staff said they would "get back to me" which, of course, never happened. Will never return.
