Nice clean hotel just outside downtown
Nice hotel with shuttle bus. Rooms have small refrig and microwave which is handy, and were clean and modern. I chose location for proximity to Swedish Hospital, but a bit far from downtown if thats what you want. Convenient shuttle however to get you around. Lots of small restaurants and grocery stores close by.Staff was very nice as well. Would recommend.

Weekend Trip
This hotel was very clean, and the staff was polite. The sheets on the bed where not very comfy and the bed was also very hard, felt like I was sleeping in paper. Overall the hotel was great, the room was VERY clean and quiet. Just did not like the sheets and mattress

Great hotel
This hotel was great! Great decor, very comfortable (good beds), clean, super friendly staff. It's on Capitol Hill, so not quite downtown, but they have complimentary shuttles (a bit of hassle though because you have to sign up in advance to get a ride), or you can get a cab (it will cost you about 10$ or less to get to Westlake area). Bonus is the restaurant downstairs (Jimmy's I think it was called), great food, reasonably priced and exceptionally friendly staff, very helpful (we asked for directions to a shopping mall and they even printed us a map with directions how to get there). Would definitely go back there.

couple's weekend
Wish we knew about the shuttle service ahead of time. It was a long walk from Amtrak Station. The neighbor hood to walk thru was not the best. The front desk told us about the shuttle and we used it thereafter. Our room was very nice with a surprise of a big jacuzzi and gas fire place. Made our stay extra special.

Great location for bars/cafes/dining
Shuttle to downtown for tourist attractions, but only 1-2 miles away if you walk. Capital hill has more of the local vibe. Pike street is a few blocks away with bars and cafes. Great Friday/Sat night life. Hotel was very clean with typical comforting feel that any 4+ star provides. Pool/hot tub was oddly down on parking garage floor across the garage level elevator.

Disappointed...
I usually stay at Silver Cloud hotels whenever I visit Seattle, WA. They usually provide clean, quiet, quality rooms and top-notch service. My recent stay at the Silver Cloud on Broadway was quite different. The first day (Wednesday, 07/27/11) was great, what I've come to expect from the chain. The night of Thursday, however, not so much. A loud, vibrating rumble on the 6th floor kept me up all night. I was told it was coming from the ventilation, and that nothing could be done. And I'm not talking about a low hum. My bathroom light fixtures were rattling! This continued from about 8pm through the next morning. The staff merely offered earplugs (useless), and scripted sounding apologies. What really irked me was that the staff made no gesture or offer to allay my obvious dissatisfaction. For the first time in a long time, I will be looking elsewhere for my hotel accommodations when visiting the Seattle area.

Gem of Capital Hill
Great decor, felt safe (had to use room key to run elevator) restaurant under remodel , However had great free breakfast until restaurant open. The hotel shuttle was the most remarkable and convenient item. Had pick-up points and would drop and pick up people going to conferences, hospital, shopping, train station etc.. Considering the price and comfort, this property was "super" No room service, but will resume when restaurant opens.
