pleasant hotel on capitol hill
This was a nice hotel in a great location, especially if you want to see capitol hill (my favorite area of seattle.) they have an indoor pool, though i wish it would stay open later than 10pm.

Eastside daydreamer
A little overpriced
We stayed in a room with a private whirlpool, which was very luxurious. The room itself was great, if a little on the 'cosy' side. Things were mostly clean, there was some water that hadn't been drained from the whirlpool and some errant long dark hairs stuck in the hairdryer, but nothing too serious. The bed was spacious and comfortable. The view was nothing too special, though that was probably due to the specific room. The location isn't very walkable, but the shuttle service is fantastic (though it ends at 10:30pm, so don't rely on it to get back after a night on the town). The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating; the shuttle driver even drove back to fetch and drop off a lost item for us, which was certainly above and beyond the call of duty. The price was rather high though, with no included meals- I would have liked a little extra for the price, e.g. breakfast. The standard checkout time was a pleasantly late 12pm, which was great.

Be sure to ask about the free shuttle service, which runs every half hour from ~7:30am to ~10:30pm, with certain excluded times. They do both pickups and dropoffs at various points downtown.

Great
My stay at the Silver Cloud Hotel was terrific! I am from Florida so it was a whole new experience to be on the west coast of the US and Silver Cloud made me feel more than comfortable. Very accommodating and safe hotel.

Parking disappointment
The hotel was very nice and my stay was great until i found out that i had to pay $27.00 to park my car in the garage. That sould be included just for staying there. They don't tell you that until you check out either. I would have parked else where if i knew that!

horrible experience
My mother made the reservation for me and my husband using her credit card. when we got to the hotel they would not honor the reservation because my mother and her card were not with us. My mother was never told that this would be a problem and either did the hotel. My mother called and the customer service man, was able to fax to the hotel and get them to allow us to keep the room. but when we tried to cancel the second night, and we were over 24 hours ahead of time, they would not allow us to do that. I was having major surgery and my husband wanted to stay with me the first night, which was the second night of our reservation. my mother was told that if the hotel would not cancel the second night, then her money would not be returned. All in all this whole experience added a lot of stress to my health situation. I will not go back to that hotel and I am reluctant to use this company again. Sincerely,
