stuff
front desk stuff was very average and not very helpful. Loved the location of the hotel and the room. No wait on elevators either really liked that.

Great weekend getaway
The hotel has a great location in downtown Seattle. I was able to walk to most of the major attractions downtown pretty easily. The staff was great and the room was very clean. There was a rather large convention at the hotel while I was there but they seemed to have planned for it well. I didn't experience any long lines or waits due to inadequate staff. The only issue I came across was that the elevators always seem to take at least several minutes after you hit the call button.

Sightseeing tip:
Short drive from hotel
If you want to get to the Space Needle and Pacific Science Center from the hotel, don't drive. Rather, catch the monorail which stops a couple of blocks from the hotel. It's much more convenient and you get yet another view of the city as it's going.

Nice Stay, Nice Location
The location is amazing for anyone hoping to spend time at Pike Place Market or shopping downtown. It's literally a 1 minute walk away from Nordstrom's. The stay was great - my room was clean, everything was as advertised, and the staff were helpful. I got some excellent restaurant recommendations from Sheraton employees.

Shopping tip:
Short drive from hotel
The University District is about 20 minutes away on transit and hosts some excellent vintage shopping - there are about 5 or 6 great places between 43rd and 48th on University Way NE. Just catch the 72 bus at Westlake Center (about a 5 minute walk from the hotel).

Not too bad, all in all...
parking is pretty expensive compared to other over-night garages...BUT...you have in/out privileges and can keep your car parked until 6pm the day of check-out (took advantage of that and did some shopping). Try to get a room in the Union Tower. I've stayed in both (Pike and Union) and the latter is better by far.

Wonderful!!
My room was very lovely. I loved overlooking downtown Seattle and Nordstroms just below my window. The Cheesecake Factory was an added delight just 1 block away. The hotel lobby was very lovely with it's welcoming glass vases and beautiful flowers. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. I had a wonderful stay!
