Terrible Customer Service

We spent four nights at the hotel in September. The location was wonderful with easy access to Pike Place and surrounding attractions. The hotel and service though was far overrated. We had a broken/noisy air conditioner that I told the front desk about three mornings in a row. Each time they told me they would send someone to fix it, and never managed to do so. Finally on the fourth night they asked us to switch rooms. The hotel also doesn't have any of the creature comforts you'd expect from a three star hotel. There is only one ice machine on one of the 20 floors, with very slow elevators. No pool, no continental breakfast. I would suggest a cheaper hotel in the same area.

Girl's Weekend In Seattle

This location was great. It was in walking distance of everything and was right in the middle of downtown. We arrived at SeaTac Airport and took the Light Link Train into town. Only $2.75 per person. We got off at the Westlake station, which was only 1 block away from the hotel. You don't need a car if you stay here. Everything was within a 5-10 minute walk.

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

Taking the Light Link Train is a cheap and easy way to get to different areas of Seattle. It's also only a 15 minute wait between trains.

Good Value for the price, great location

Plus: This is a historic hotel right in the downtown area. It's perfect for travelers that want a great location on a smaller scale budget. The hotel was very clean, the beds were VERY comfortable. The staff was attentive, helpful and friendly. Downside, no continental breakfast, a few blocks walk if you take the train from the airport, there's only 2 elevators and they're really small.

This is an old hotel from the early 1900's that has been maintained very well. The hotel is centrally located in downtown Seattle. I would stay here again without question.

Great location and a great getaway

Nice little walk to the market, Pacific place is right there , I really like the location. Even with an elevator down it wasn't that big of a deal.

Great intimate hotel and location!

We use thus hotel every time we travel to Seattle. It's an old hotel and does not provide every amenity that newer hotels has, but it's close to everything so that was fine. It allows them to be good at what they do, which is to make this a home away from home!

overall a good place to stay

The Roosevelt Hotel had a very good location. You were 1 block from the shopping center of the city and only 6 (very short) blocks from Pikes Place Market. I only have two areas I would like to see improved. The adjacent restaurant Von's did not offer very good breakfast. It cost us $13 for a buffet. The french toast was cold, the fruit was room temp, the eggs were runny. The Starbucks across the street was what we ate the other two mornings.
