Central location

Wife and I stayed overnight since we were eating dinner w/ friends late in Capitol Hill. The Roosevelt has some personality - more fun than a chain hotel, being a little older. But everything we saw was clean and neat. Our standard room had lots of room with a large sofa and chair in a sitting area. Pacific Place shopping is literally right across the street, Gameworks and movie theaters for kids around the corner, and Convention Center down the block. It's an easy walk to tons of shopping and a decent, but manageable walk to The Market. Would not call it a "destination hotel", but a nice place to sleep and hang out for a couple of days.

Great downtown hotel!

Great location, friendly staff and reasonable price combine to make the Roosevelt a nice option for visiting Seattle. A short walk from the light rail airport train makes it easy to not rent a car for your stay. A short walk to many tourist attractions including the Pike street Market and Seattle Center. Slightly longer walk to Safeco Field but can use the light rail or bus for this if you wish. Overall, a nice place and more friendly than most chain hotels.

Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Take the airport light rail for only $2.75 each way and it is a short walk from the station to the hotel.

Great Location for Downtown Seattle Activities

This hotel has a classic feel to it. A older than the bigger chains and rooms a bit smaller but it was perfect for what we needed. Within walking distance of all downtown attactions including two blocks from a train station. Staff was incredibly knowledgable of the area and helped us select a restaurant and pointed us towards a reasonable rental car agency. Would stay here again.

Mini home away from home

The room was surprisingly large with a separate breakfast bar area (but needs a small refrigerator), desk and chair, sofa and chair...all separate from the bedroom and bath. Bed was extremely comfortable. The room was quite even though on a corner with busy streets. A large shopping center was across the street and had everything including several nice places to eat. Within walking distance to the monorail which takes you to the space needle. We'd definitely stay here again.

Valentines Surprise

This trip was a total surprise for my wife. She only knew when I told her we were headed to the airport. We arrived early and did not expect to get to check in. They had no indication of us having reservations but got us into a room immediately. Professionalism at it's finest. The room was fantastic and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed a ferry ride to Bainbridge Island and visited the casino during valentines day. We ate dinner at Ruth Chris Steakhouse which was nothing less then fantastic. We had a nice visit to Seattle. The hotel could use another guest computer in the lobby.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Take a ferry ride. It's inexpensive and fun no matter where you ride the ferry to. We enjoyed a free shuttle ride from the Bainbridge ferry terminal to the casino and had lunch.
