expense getitng around town

Took family of nine on vacation and this hotel is not close to any thing. It cost a bus fare (both ways) to get to downtown or any where else you need to go and the bus or street line both have a poor system of paying. It was a cost of $20.00 one way for us to go anywhere. The hotel was not helpful in helping us find the different ways to get around. The breakfast buffet was good but other than that the hotel lobby and service left something to be desired. Would not return to this hotel next year.

Amazing, Spectacular, Very Satisfied

We were so happy with our entire experience. The hotel was beautiful, very clean, extremely friendly and helpful staff. We were in walking distance to the Space Needle, it was very easy to get to Pikes Market, Quest Center, and the harbor was steps away.

There were three restaurants within walking distance, two of which are major restaurant chains known for either their great food or...double d service.

Amazing stay in Seattle

My family was very excited for our trip to Seattle. I was nervous to travel with my 2 year old, so I intentionally booked my stay at "Residence Inn" because of the increased space and the kitchen. I was pleased to know that there was one in downtown Seattle, and at a reasonable price. The staff was very accomodating to our every need, from arranging a town car, to extra towels, to directions to the nearest grocery store. They even had a grocery service if we wanted, just give them a list, and they would have our groceries by the afternoon!! It was a very impressive hotel, luxurious, five star service. The complimentary breakfast buffet was unbelievable including eggs, pancakes, french toast, yogurt, muffins, oatmeal, potatoes, and a belgian waffle maker!! The only drawback if any, which I already knew before I booked, was a fee for parking $25/day, and the spaces were a little tight for a mini-van. But I expected it, so it wasn't so bad. You expect to pay for parking in Seattle, where we had to pay $4/hour to park to see Pike's market and the waterfront. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to others.

Seattle Marriot

It's a nice hotel, but when we got there, we were told the pool was out of order. I have 4 kids and they were disappointed to say the least. Parking is an extra $20 a night and it is the tightest parking I have ever seen in my life. If I were a big man, there is NO way I could have gotten out of my car- really! Other wise it's a decent place.

Great for groups of friends

We came to Seattle to relax after spending some time in Whistler. We found the rooms to be very large, the beds comfortable, and the complimentary breakfast quite good (for those who got up in time for it). The full-size kitchen was a great bonus but we didn't really use it. The pool, hot tub, and exercise rooms were nice as well. We lucked out during our stay because on Wednesdays the hotel provides a complimentary dinner with free alcohol; the food was surprisingly tasty. The hotel is located close to Pike Place and the Space Needle in a quiet neighborhood, though it wasn't too pedestrian-friendly during our stay because of the nearby road construction. The one down sides to the hotel are a lack of free parking ($20 per day) and the garage is a bit cramped if you're parking an SUV (Ford Explorer).
