Great location and quality for the price
JAO Nov 25, 2009
We went to Seattle for the MLS Cup with one weeks notice. Great price even at the last minute. The hotel was a short walk to ... Pike Place which should not be missed if you are in Seattle. The only negative was the noise in the room from the freeway below. Otherwise the hotel had friendly staff, nice decor and clean accommodations.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Our room was a double with a nice TV and bath. Because our neighbors were loud the ... first night of our trip, the hotel moved us to a nicer room on a virtually unoccupied floor. The fitness center had 6 treadmills, some bikes, a stair climber, free hand weights and a precor machine. Overall, very nice accommodations with a great downtown location.

Great Location, Excellent Price!
Renaissance Seattle Hotel Nov 14, 2009
The breakfast buffet waiting staff was better than most restaurants that I've been to in the last year. Very friendly, ... attentive and ready to serve... something that seems lost with the younger staff which is more in tune to talking with each other than doing their job! Also, the happy hour on the top floor was super at a reasonable price. Lastly, the bell boy was on top of his game, ready and eager to help without asking. I will stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay here and feel that it was well worth what we spent. Highly recommended! My wife and I were just ... spending a 3 day weekend in Seattle to be tourists and just because. The location of the hotel was very convenient for all of the Seattle tourist locations. We didn't take a single taxi with the exception of to/from the airport - we walked everywhere with the exception of one monorail ride over the the Experience Music Project and the Space Needle. Would highly recommend the Underground Tour. The staff was great in terms of recommendating place to go, eat, etc. They even upgraded us to a suite at no add'l charge. The hill down to Puget Sound is steep, so if you are there during the winter months you may have to take a taxi around or you can also head north or south and the hill is a much lower incline. We only made the 6 block trek all the way up it once and our legs were burning. Food was great.

McCormick's Restaurant is about 2-3 blocks away on 4th Avenue and has really good seafood. The Underground Tour in Pioneer Square was our favorite tourist attraction.

We have stayed all over Seattle, and this is our 2nd trip to the Renaissance. It is a beautiful, comfortable hotel, that is ... spotless. The coffee bar (thanks Jason!) is just the best, which turns in to a comfy bar at night. Kick back on the sofa and have coffee or a drink, internet surf in a comfy setting. Rooms are spotless. Concierge the most helpful ever. Same exact rooms as the Grand Hyatt down the street, only a better and more equipped lobby.

Sazerac just a minute away is a great restaurant. Also the hotel is a hike, up hill to get back from the market. We like it that way though, we always come back fit with no weight gain. And we eat our way through Seattle, trust me!

This was really a very nice hotel with large, clean rooms and large screen TV's in the room. My only complaint would be with ... the cost of parking, but that seems to be normal for large city hotels these days. The concierge was quite helpful, and the parking valets were quick and personable.

Anniversary trip
Val SD traveler Aug 18, 2009
After booking on Orbitz, I called the Renaissance more than a month before to request a King bed and was not told that it ... wasn't guaranteed. Upon our arrival we were told that there were no king rooms available. We were very disappointed because we were there celebrating our anniversary(our 23rd & hadn't done anything like this since our 5th). After getting to our room we also had the misfortune of getting a room on the 10th floor overlooking the I-5. I called the front desk to complain(about the double whammy) and the nice young lady([...], I believe who was much nicer than the young lady that checked us in)said she would put our name down to move to a King room if one opened up. About an hour later we were called & moved to a King suite. It was still overlooking the freeway(8th floor), but a beautiful room with a King bed. Thank you, [...]!

Slepped in Seattle Aug 16, 2009
We showed up at the hotel only to find that they had no 4 person rooms available. They acknolleged that our reservationwas ... for four persons, and two queen beds but for some reason were unable to plan ahead for our arrival. Additionally they ingnored our Orbitz coupon and tried to charge us for parking until I corrected them. I'm not sure they really wanted me there. I know they consider themselves and upper class hotel, however there amenities are just not there. There is no free wifi or internet. I found the hotel was constantly trying ways to add charges to our room bill. Next time I will book the Hampton Inn.
