Great Location and service

We had a great time in Seattle. We did everything within walking distance and took advantage of the bus and monarail when need be. Purchasing the CitY Pass Book saved us a ton of money and kept everyone in the family busy. I love Seattle.

My Trip to Seattle was great, my first time there and I will go back again and stay at this location, the hotel was having some work done but it did not take away from my visit, the staff was great and it made You over look the work and lack of a resturant. But there were so many places within walking distance tht you did not notice. I will be Back next Year..

Newly renovated, good loc, close to hwy

Very close to nightlife and public market...easy walk (even in 4" heels). Conveniently located near I-5, one block from ultra modern public library. Rooms were well-apportioned, newly renovated, and clean! Parking is directly under hotel (and booking on Orbitz we got it free). We had a north facing room and had a lovely view all the way to Lake Union. Renaissance served us very well.

Great weekend get-away!!

The hotel was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and the amenities were great. The room was very clean and the fitness center/pool were nice as well. The only thing that I found dissapointing was the buffet breakfast. It cost $16 and the choices were very limited. We ate at the buffet one morning, and the other mornings ate outside. Other than that the stay was great.

Definitely check out Purple hotel and wine bar. Wonderful atmosphere with an amazing choice of food and wine. From the hotel, go two blocks north to Seneca and two blocks south to 4th ave - 1225 4th ave.

Unbeatable location for the price"

It was very nice to stay in the hotel. I like the location because we went to downtown a lot. Breakfast was really tasty, and transportation to the airport is very convenient.

Outstanding in every way!

Restaurant was very good and cocktail hour offered great appetizers at a great price. Staff is very accomodating and location is perfect. Very close to bus routes that take you anywhere. A $5.00 taxi ride to almost every downtown attraction. Nice lounge with a beautiful view. Exceptionally quiet place for a busy hotel. Modern, clean, very happy with this choice.

Not a single complaint...

We really enjoyed our stay here and feel that it was well worth what we spent. Highly recommended! My wife and I were just spending a 3 day weekend in Seattle to be tourists and just because. The location of the hotel was very convenient for all of the Seattle tourist locations. We didn't take a single taxi with the exception of to/from the airport - we walked everywhere with the exception of one monorail ride over the the Experience Music Project and the Space Needle. Would highly recommend the Underground Tour. The staff was great in terms of recommendating place to go, eat, etc. They even upgraded us to a suite at no add'l charge. The hill down to Puget Sound is steep, so if you are there during the winter months you may have to take a taxi around or you can also head north or south and the hill is a much lower incline. We only made the 6 block trek all the way up it once and our legs were burning. Food was great.

McCormick's Restaurant is about 2-3 blocks away on 4th Avenue and has really good seafood. The Underground Tour in Pioneer Square was our favorite tourist attraction.

Renaissance Has Very Friendly Staff

We were there to participate in the Seattle marathon. We had Thanksgiving dinner in the 28th floor restaurant, and it was very good (among the three of us, we had all three entree choices). "Executive Hour" (happy hour) snacks and drinks also very good. 2nd floor restaurant was helpful with special pre-marathon food. Good place to stay!

Food at the Renaissance was very good. I'd also recommend the Flying Fish restaurant which has 12 oysters for $6 during happy hour on week days. We also liked Lola's, which serves lunch/breakfast until 3 in the afternoon. [...]

Exceeded Expectations

Great location for any downtown events. Beautiful hotel but above all, the staff made this hotel a 5-star to us. The bar was open late for small meals after a long day. Perfect in all aspects. Beds were extremely comfortable and rooms spotless with very warm and comfortable decor. Will stay again!
