Great New Year's Eve getaway
Fabulous location - centrally located right in the middle of downtown Seattle, just steps to great shopping and restaurants. We stayed the week between the Christmas holiday through New Year's and were glad that we booked here. No rental car needed! We walked to Pike's Marketplace, the Seattle Aquarium and waterfront for sightseeing. Macy's and Nordstrom are just down the street, as well as several shops and malls. Even better, the hotel is right next to Westlake Center, which is a stop for the lightrail and monorail. Not a fancy hotel, but perfect location to experience all Seattle has to offer.

Great Spot for New Years
The hotel was clean for the most part. Our comforter did have some stains on it and there was a small hole in the sheet, but otherwise everything was nice. I gave this hotel a low rating because you don't get much bang for your buck. We paid $135 a night for a King size bed. Our room had a refrigerator, but no microwave. There weren't any complimentary bottles of water. You have to pay $3.00 a bottle! There wasn't a hot tub or a pool and there wasn't even a complimentary breakfast. I stayed at a Best Western the night after staying in the Red Lion and that hotel had all of these things and we only had to pay $80 a night. Also if you are driving a vehicle that is over 7' tall, good luck finding parking! The Red Lion was however, in a great location to do some great shopping, dining, and ride the monorail and ferries.

Definitely worth it!
We stayed at the red lion over Xmas. We couldn't have asked for a better location, right downtown and next to pike place market. The hotel had a great pub/restaurant underneath it. Parking was very expensive, $30/night, I was disappointed they did not offer a discounts for hotel guests. The hotel itself was an older building, although it was very clean inside and the staff were excellent, especially the concierge, Lolly. The rooms were very average. Overall it was a good experience, and I would book here again.

Night out on the town
"Girls Night Out" started out with flasks in the room...which was on the top floor and the neighboring building had wierd white bubbles coming out of a round roof top machine and blowing all over...that with the clouds reflecting off the mirror windows in the high rise opposite started the evening off right. On to the Olympic for "Cocktail Week" offering called Baja Blue Martini...fabulous. On to RN74 for overpriced Midnight in Paris...then to SAM for ReMix...Great beds in hotel and we decided this should be a bimonthly event. (We live north about 35 miles)... Front desk and concierge (sp?) were fun and helpful.

good but not promising
It's good and comfortable. has free internet, but it's slow during the busy days. if you order from Orbitz, your reservation is not promised. I ordered my double queen beds deluxe view room for 8/26 at april, but they still says sorry no for my Orbitz order and gave me single queen bed "Citi" view room. My friend end up to sleep on the floor for 2 days...

Perfect Location
Perfect location. Could see the farmers market from our room. Staff gave us an upgrade room to an ocean view on the 20th floor because of the shuttle service mixup(not the hotels fault at all). Walking distance to all Seattle attractions. Very clean.Very nice staff, even the staff who worked in the Elephant and Castle Lounge located downstairs. Very good food, excellent drinks all night long. Will stay again and would recommend this hotel to anybody staying in Seattle.

Not Applicable
DO NOT USE theGo Shuttle Express. They made us wait over an hour in the smelly parking garage to get a shuttle. Then they took us to the wrong hotel, across town and refused to take us to the Red Lion on 5thAv. Dumped our bags out and left. Luckly the manager at the Red Lion on Main &112th called us a cab that showed up within 1 minute. 3hrs from the time we landed and $45.00 later we got to our room and the Red Lion on 5thAv made everything right with the world.
