Would never stay again

The Pan Pacific appears to be a nice hotel until you check in, the room is well kept and clean with a refrigerator mini-bar that is pressure sensitive so there is not room for anything personal in it and expensive to have removed. There was only seating for one guest and it was not very comfortable in the room so one person or more of your party either have to sit on the bed or at the desk when in the room. The parking for the hotel is nonexistant unless you pay for valet service which we did. The valets were very nice and somewhat accomodating. I would never return to this hotel and would never recommend it.

Disappointed with value

Paying over 340 per night should get you an above average stay. The driving service was mostly unavailable due to only having one driver on staff when they have two cars. The room was average. Staff very friendly. Again for over $340 per night you expect more. Having a whole foods downstairs is not a good offset for that price! Stay at one of the chains with a free breakfast and use the savings to take a sea plane to the islands!

More style than substance

Three stars if the Pan Pacific did not pretend to be above average. Many poor design features. Huge bath for wheelchair access was apparently standard. Wide bathroom door could have opened into bath against shower wall but instead opened out and blocked hallway. Roll-in shower with inadequate curtain resulted in water all over the floor. Grab bars @ shower and toilet but no towel rack anywhere. Large soaking tub with high, thick sides and no grab bar appeared dangerous when getting in or out. Small sink situated at back of counter was hard to reach and drain plug would not hold water. Sliding doors, repeatedly opened by maid, exposed entire bath to living area. Magnifying mirror on low counter required stooping to see into it. No closet but a huge wardrobe in hallway with doors that blocked the hallway when open. Full-length mirror in dark hallway. Two recessed fixtures in hallway but the halogen floodlights had been replaced with dimmer CFL sticks and the light from one of those was blocked by the top of wardrobe. Three phones but no clock with visible readout at night. Repeated problems with the TV which "had its own computer" that repeatedly crashed. TV remote failed. Electronic hall door lock failed. Window that supposedly opened wouldn't. Heating/Air Conditioning was central but noisy and blew across the bed all night long, like an individual room unit in a Super 8. Cheap reproductions and sucker original "art" throughout hotel. Good desk chair. Great European-style toilet.

Not bad

Stayed over night for a concert and picasso exhibit. Customer service was good. Room was adequate with a view of lake union. Unfortunately, the bed was extremely hard which kept me awake much of the night. The bathtub is nice for one- not two. 2-3 stars is about the right fit.

Nice, decently central hotel but not great for public transit

Overall, this was a nice, clean hotel in a fairly central location in Seattle and I would recommend in general, but I was also expecting more in terms of service and knowledge of the staff. Being from NYC, I had planned to rely on the public transit system to get around Seattle. I was disappointed when the staff didn't have transit maps, didn't know where the closest bus stop was and couldn't give me any solid guidance on how to get to any of the tourist attractions that I needed help with. While they were very helpful and tried to look things up online, I would have expected the staff to know more about their area. On a similar note, one evening I asked for a restaurant/bar suggestion and I was only given one place when I thought that they should definitely have been able to provide options. However, I have to say that they do have an excellent service in the morning where they’ll take you anywhere up to 2 miles away in their hotel service cars. This was a nice feature that I used every day to save 2 miles of walking before even starting my day. Overall, a nice hotel and I would stay again but make sure I do my own research if I plan to use public transit.

It was okay.

Although I had no problems with my stay nothing about this hotel stuck out. It was an average hotel with nice amenities at a not so convenient location.

service was lacking

wonderful view, wonderful room, but I had asked for a bottle of champagne and truffles to be waiting for my "bride" since it was our wedding day!? I was disappointed when they weren't there because this hotel advertises as being all about the "personal" service??

Good, not great.

The Pan Pacific hotel is good hotel, but lacks luxury greatness. The price really only defines its location.

Disappointing hotel stay

The location of this Hotel was ideal for walking all over to Seattle tourist sites. The amenities of the hotel are decent ( fitness room, hot tub, hotel driver for local drop off and pick up, restaurant, etc). The front desk staff was RIDICULOUS!!! I've never been shoulder shrugged at by so many hotel staff members in my life?!? How do you acquire 4 stars for that?! The drivers were impeccable and so helpful! One front desk staff member, Ali, provided bend over backward service ! He was awesome even though he couldn't ultimately help with the situation. But the rest from check in, to denying our breakfast that was advertised as included at time of booking and SO much more was just painful!!! I would NEVER try staying at a Pan Pacific again In case their staff is trained to be this way. Such a disappointing waste of money.
