Perfect location for touring Seattle
Tyler Oct 5, 2009
My wife and I stayed at the Mayflower Park Hotel on our recent honeymoon in Seattle. I had never stayed in Seattle before ... and picked the Mayflower based on its price and location. And I must say, it was the perfect spot for our getaway. The price is right for an older hotel but it is very well maintained and the service is fantastic. The location could not be beat being only a couple short blocks from Pikes Market and Aquarium and is located next to the monorail making seeing the Needle a breeze. You can spend 2-3 times the money for a newer hotel in the area but I wouldn't bother. For my money, the Mayflower was perfect.

Great location for walking
Les Sep 25, 2009
We walked everywhere, left the car! Valet parking at an affordable price. They do have in and out privaleges. Staff ... knowledgeable and helpful. Restaurant service and food wonderful. The tran for the Sky Needle is in the mall attached to the hotel. We walked to the ferries and market. This hotel is close to shopping. We asked for a room on one of the higher floors to see the lights at night. The rooms are smaller, but not an issue for us. We took a room with a shower, no tub. We left some items. I called and the items were sent to our home. This is a very nice hotel, at a reasonable price.

Fabulous for 1st time visitor to Seattle
Happy to have visited Seattle Sep 21, 2009
The location of the Mayflower is excellent. Walkable to almost everywhere: Pike, shopping centers, etc. I really enjoyed ... my stay and that being a plus because it was our first time to Seattle. The hotel bar, Oliver's, was the best place to unwind and enjoy cocktails. Must be a great place because we met so many locals there.

Lovely Hotel!
traveler Aug 14, 2009
We loved everything about this hotel except for the less-than-firm mattress in our room. We had a lovely 8th floor corner ... room (deluxe queen) with lots of light and space. We never heard any noise from the street or adjacent rooms. The room's thermostat was very responsive (we like it cool). Staff members were very friendly and helpful. We spent until mid morning reading newspapers and enjoying coffee in our room, then spent until late in the day exploring and walking everywhere. We discovered that downtown Seattle is really not that big. We would definitely return to the Mayflower!

Exquisite jewel of a hotel
Mary Dec 25, 2008
The room was very special with a separate sitting area in the large bedroom. The service was friendly and professional. The ... location is prime-downtown Seattle which gives access to all Seattle's many attractions. The restaurant is very good, and the bar is lovely, romantic and festive.

Perfect Downtown Location
Susanna Apr 21, 2008
The Mayflower Park Hotel is perfectly located in downtown Seattle. It is an inexpensive MetroTransit bus ride from SeaTac to ... the adjacent Westlake Shopping Center and the underground transit tunnel. There is easy access to everything downtown! The hotel itself has a serene feel and the staff was very friendly. The rooms are quiet and clean. The hotel restaurant, Andaluca, provides a nice selection of breakfast choices (other meals too, but we didn't dine there other than breakfast). The concierge was super-helpful and even printed our return trip flight boarding passes. We'll stay here every time we go to Seattle.

Special Stay
James Apr 20, 2008
Really enjoyed our stay. Enjoyed the Wine and cheese tasting on our first night. We could walk to about anything we wanted. I ... truly felt all of the Consieries (?) were very helpful and aided us in getting dinner reservations, and our car and advice on many things. My only wish is that the mirror wouldn't steam up so when taking a shower. I liked the extra shaving mirror a lot. Would have liked a king bed but the queen was ok. Actually the bed was very comfortable and the linnens were fresh.

Great older hotel
James Sep 13, 2007
This hotel is a beautiful older property with a lot of character. The room was a little smaller than many more modern hotels ... but the decor made up for it. The ambience was special from the moment we entered the striking lobby. The location is close to good shopping and an easy walk to Pike's Market and a lot of great restaurants. Free wireless Internet was a plus.It has a very nice bar/lounge and its own Spanish-themed restaurant. I would not recommend this for a family with young children but I highly recommend it for adults or business travelers.

Great Location
Eugene Ray Sep 9, 2007
Mayflower Park is a beautiful hotel with a wonderful location to all the attractions and shopping. The staff was helpful and ... the conceriage was able to make dining reservations for us at several Tom Douglas restaurants that we had heard so much about. Oliver's martini bar on the property was also a plus with excellent service and friendly staff. The covered walkway to the shopping mall was also very convenient. Pike's market was just a few short blocks away. The beds were very comfortable and our experience at the Mayflower Park was very enjoyable.

awesome location
Harminder Sep 2, 2007
This is a very nice hotel, with the greatest location, in downtown, close to Pike Place. It was within walking distance of ... almost everything. The only complaint I would have against this hotel is that the rooms are quite small and the TV is even smaller. But then again, you don't come to Seattle to stay in your room. This hotel also exudes a certain element of elegance.

The restaurant, though I didn't eat there (so much other good food to try in Seattle) was very reasonably priced. Pike Place and shopping are very short walk away.

Over Priced for room size and amenities
Kim Aug 19, 2007
The Mayflower Park Hotel is centerally located in downtown Seattle. It was close to Pike Place Market and most downtown ... shopping. The hotel itself however is over priced for the room size and amenities. We stayed in a Queen size room that barely had room to walk around the bed. The bathroom had a deep tub with little else. The TV was a small screen TV and not much else. The view from our room was of the wall of the Macy's building and nothing else. The furnishings are elegant and the room was very clean.

My review of Mayflower Park Hotel
Crystal Jul 8, 2007
Upon arrival to The Mayflower Park Hotel, I used the valet service which was very friendly and efficient. Check-in went ... wonderfully and staff was very pleasant. The room was a bit smaller than I had expected but was exceptionally clean. I was pleased that our room had a great view of the Space Needle and that the location of the hotel was near the tram that could take me to the Space Needle. The location of the hotel was 1.2 miles from the attraction I wished to visit but was well priced for its location.

Pikes Place is only down the street from this hotel. The tram that could take you to the Seattle Space Needle was also down the block so easy access to the Space Needle was easy.

We were able to walk to ALL of the Seattle tourist attractions without a car, (but only if you wear walking shoes). Pike's Market;the Space Needle; the tallest building; a mall 3-4 blocks away with lots of blown glass art museums worth seeing; a couple of other malls; museums;art galleries; dozens of Zagat rated restaurants; and live music.

Good value in downtown
Erik Jun 8, 2007
Very nice hotel overall. I was visiting seattle the same week as several large conferences, so my usual first choice hotels ... were all booked up (except for $300+ rooms). The room was a little worn (in great condition, just not shiny and new) but very clean and well cared for. The location right at westlake center is convenient to everything (though it does mean that the view is largely limited to the Macy's across the street), the staff was great, and no extra charge for valet parking was a wonderful plus compared to all the big downtown chains. Oliver's in the lobby is a great martini bar (used to frequent it when I lived in Seattle) too.
Traveler type: Business
the location is right on top of the monorail, so access to seattle center for Thunderbirds/Sonics games, etc) is very easy.
