Just OK, with good location

I chose this hotel for convenient location (which it has) and relatively lower cost. It is an old (built in 1928) 3-story hotel with no elevator. I thought the no-elevator element would not matter because I could have staff help with my heavy luggage. However, there's only one person at reception counter and there was no offer of luggage help, so I had to lug my heavy (fortunately wheeled) luggage up and down the stairs to the 3rd floor by myself. Staff was helpful with travel info (e.g., what bus to catch, how to get to places, etc.) but matter-of-fact. There was a hand-made sign inside the counter area reminding reception staff to smile, and I think that reminder was legitimately put there. (On the other hand, I witnessed reception staff maintain politeness and calm when an unnecessarily abusive individual ranted at him.) Room was clean and comfortable but unbearably stuffy when I arrived, and it took a while for air conditioner to cool it. Large closet with no hangers. Socket in bathroom did not work, so I had to dry my hair in the kitchenette. One of lamps did not work. Enclosed stairway smelled vaguely of urine. I appreciated the computer in the reception area, since I couldn't take advantage of free in-room wi-fi since I had no digital device to do so. This hotel would be good for travelers on a budget who want a convenient location and a clean room with a kitchenette and free wi-fi, and who are willing to trade that for bare-bones service, a slightly but disconcertingly smelly stairway, and no elevator or luggage assistance.

Great place

It's like a studio apt; nice is you're staying for an extended period of time. Has a little kitchen area so you can save money if you want to cook rather than go out. Great location too, can walk to the Seattle Center.

Ring cycle opera stay

Great location. The hotel needs major remodeling. The bathroom was old. The hallways are smelly and have dirty carpets. The staff was mostly helpful and friendly except for the night clerk on the last night when a number of guests were trying to check out early around midnight.

Not good

The rooms were worn down and smelled bad, the hallways smelled worse, and the internet access was extremely slow. The manager at the front desk acknowledged that both were ongoing problems. Not a place I would stay again.

Exceptionally friendly staff

This hotel was quaint and old fashioned - no key cards for doors and tiny bathrooms - still each room did come with a kitchenette and wireless worked throughout. The rooms where clean but the linens were a bit aged. It was very conveniently located to Seattle Center and a quick bus ride or longer walk to Pike Place Market. Several nearby supermarkets and a couple of really good restaurants. The most worthy of mention is the staff who were extremely friendly and helpful. I would recommend if you are looking for a less commercial experience.

Great location

Hotel is older, but clean and comfortable. A little noisy from outside. It is located across the street from Seattle Center, so was perfect for my trip. Easy to get to with the light rail from Sea-Tac airport and the monorail from downtown to Seattle Center..

nice quick trip

Inn at Queen Anne is an older property on a busy street with a massive building under construction across the street. Parking was off site and full every evening, not enough spaces. Coffee available at all times, places to eat near by. Rooms were quaint, but as usual they could use some touch up on the paint, and perhaps a new matress, Adequate for my breif visit, possibably might consider staying there again for the location.

Interesting Place to Stay

The hotel has that old time feel to it. With that being said they need to update the rooms the showers are for shorter than avergae people and parts of the bathroom were in need of repair. It was great that it had its own little kitchen and fridge. Parking was limited to 11 spaces and cost $15/day it was located near some great places though. I would recommend it if you are on a budget and you dont mind walking to see attractions as seattle gets spendy on parking.

Convenient Location

The hotel is conveniently located accross the street from the Seattle Center. It is old but quaint. There are no elevators, so this is certainly a problem for those with dissabilities. However, if you don't mind that it is a good place to stay.

Great location

When visiting Seattle, the location of this hotel makes it one to be considered. The immediate neighborhood has plenty of stores, selling every need except fashionable clothing. Groceries, beverages, books, and music recordings are all within one block. Restaurants of all types are available. Numerous services are also within a two block radius. The Seattle Center with all its cultural outlets is virtually across the street. Bus lines that connect to Downtown (including the Pike Place Market) and interesting neighborhoods such as Ballard, Fremont, and the Univeristy District are again no more than one block distant. I was able to experience all these attractions during my recent visit. The Hotel itself is an older facility and not especially glamorous. The staff, however, is willing, helpful, and pleasent. Personally I enjoyed the character of the hotel and only its age precluded a higher rating.
