What a bargain.
For the price, I couldn't imagine finding a better hotel in the downtown Seattle area. The building is old and has some character and the staff were friendly and helpful. Shuttle service to and from Downtown was a great plus. All of this for well under $65/night.

Would stay here again.
We arrived on a Wednesday in January. We were supposed to have a late check in but arrived early. We took the "light link" subway from the airport to downtown and tools bus from downtown to the hotel. The bus stops directly cross the street from the hotel. Quite easy. In fact, several buses stop there so you could go anywhere from the hotel very easily. The hotel had no problem checking us in earlier. The front desk girl told us the hotel used to be a place where retired priests and nuns lived, which explained the small ampullae niche (recessed wall shelf that is supposed to be used to display holy water, had to look up this term). Our room was in the building across from the office on the third floor. No elevator but it wasn't that high up. The room itself was nice. Closet was large, with an ironing board and an iron inside. There was a little kitchen too. Two burners, a microwave, a mini fridge that had a small freezer. The cupboards even had plates and bowls etc. There was cutlery on the counter too. There was a pretty good sized tv with cable and a table with chairs. The bathroom was nice, big mirror and shower with good water pressure. My boyfriends place in manhattan takes several minutes to get the hot water going. This place took no time at all. The front desk has hair dryers that you can check out which we did. There is a tansportation service. The shuttle has a printed schedule and every hour departs (between 10 and 4, if I remember correctly) to take you to popular destinations. However, since we were there during the "off peak" season the shuttle driver was willing to drive us to places not on the schedule, for example he took us directly to Columbia tower. However, they will not pick you up or drop you off at the airport. The breakfast isn't all that. But we wer planning on enjoying some of those popular Seattle cafes anyway. The breakfast, from 7am to 1030am included some small pastries, wheat toast, strawberry jelly, orange juice, etc. No fat free creamer. I liked that this was Eco-conscious. If you don't mind sleeping on your same sheets you can indicate so by placing a card on your bed. House keeping will make the bed but will not change the sheets. Because come on, do you change he sheets each day at home? No. You can do the same with towels. Down the street there is several restaurants like a Thai place, a sports bar type place, a veitnamese place, a Mexican fast food place, etc. Safeway is a block away which was convenient because I needed to pick up some travel size personal hygeine products. There is also a movie theater and several cafes on the other side of the block. We tried to save a but of money so we didn't eat out at restaurant each night instead we went to mwtropolitan market, which we discovered down the street (along with a drug store and a fed ex place and a nail salon). This place is like whole foods but nicer. They had prepared meals to go. $9.99. So we picked up something here. Oh there is also an Indian reataurant a few doors down from the hotel that does a $6.95 lunch buffet. But thy seems common in Seattle as we saw signs like that in several Indian places in the university district, etc. We went into downtown an neigborhooda to the north and east very easily from the hotel by bus. Please excuse any typos, I am drafting this from my iPhone at the airport and I can't seem to scroll up to proof read. I would stay here again Oh, my boyfriend insists that the hallway smelled like paint but I did not notice it, maybe they had just painted.

Inn at Queen Ann
The hotel is clean but needs some renovations which are being done. Lots of interesting eateries and places within a short walking distance. Key Arena, Space Needle, Experience Music and Science Fiction Museum are all within a reasonable walk depending on the weather. They have a parking lot a short distance from the hotel. With a car, a lot of Seattle's attractions, like the Pike Street market, are close. There is a bus stop right across the street. Using The Metro, you can get anywhere in Seattle without worrying about parking.

There is not in downtown, but thanks to buses, I did not care. Also, there is Super Market which opens 24 hours. It was so useful.

We were delighted with the package. The small kitchen made it possible to keep snacks. A movie, book store, grocery and buses surrounded us. The room was small and quaint, but quite adequate.

The only bad thing is that now matter where you park you have to pay for it. It is $4 for 2hours or $20 over night with the inn.

Quaint Charm
Gorgeous outside and garden area! Nice kitchen, huge closet. Our only problem came when we had to lug our heavy luggage up the three flights of stairs since they don"t have an elevator. We definitely put the "lug" in luggage! Great location though.
