Home away from home

Would recommend Sun, Jul 5, 2009
My friend and I chose the Queen Anne for our stay because of the close location to the Key Arena at the Seattle Center. Literally half a block away, it couldn't have been any better. The friendly staff and comfortable rooms were wonderful, as well as the availability of a full kitchen in our room complete with dishware, oven, stove, microwave, mini fridge, and walk in closet. Everything was wonderful. The hotel also offers complimentary apple and orange juice, as well as water, 24 hrs a day which also came in handy and was truly appreciated. Their continental breakfast was wonderful. I also really appreciated their dedication to safety. They lock the front doors at about 9pm every night but still make it easy for you to get in and out. My friend and I needed to come in and out of the hotel a few times between midnight and 3am, but there was no issue with that as well. Overall I really enjoyed this hotel.

Dining

The nearby Mecca Cafe served up some truly wonderful food and there was a plethora of nearby Asian restaurants as well. Dicks Drive In offers an experience similar to an In-and-Out which was nice as well.

Cozy B&B

Would recommend Sat, Jul 4, 2009
We enjoyed our stay in Seattle...fabulous weather and great experiences at the art museum. The mini-kitchen was very helpful and added to the homey feeling. Beautifully landscaped flower areas and outdoor seating make the continental breakfast extra enjoyable.

Shopping hint

The Metropolitan Market is just down the street and a great place to buy all kinds of great food items which can be prepared in the mini-kitchen in the room. Lot of things are ready-to-eat.

"Not bad"

Would not recommend Tue, Jun 30, 2009
This hotel was very affordable and provided excellent service for the price, but it is in need of a real face lift, especially in the hallways and bedrooms, which run on the dark and kind of dank side. Also, the walls are paper thin and I was able to hear conversations taking place in the hallway. The staff was always quite helpful, however, and were very accommodating when asked to help store our bags during the day after checking out and giving us directions to nearby attractions.

Full of bedbugs!!!

Would not recommend Mon, Jun 29, 2009
The hotel was very old, and not quite what we had expected. The location was great, but the hotel its self fell short. The water pressure on the shower was so low it came out like a drizzle. After complaining to the front desk, they told me it was because the building was old, and there wasn't much they could do about it. That wasn't even the worst part of it. We stayed one night there, and the next day I woke up covered in bites. Our bed was covered in bed bugs, and I got bitten dozens of times. Needless to say we got out of there as quickly as possible, and did get a refund for the rest of our stay. We checked into a new clean hotel, but not a great way to start out my vacation.

This location is close to the Seattle center, Space Needle, good restaurants, and an easy walk to waterfront. The hotel is older and small, but comfortable.

Dining

A lot of variety in restaurants within a short walk

Enjoyable Stay

Would recommend Tue, Jun 23, 2009
This hotel was very nice and the location is close to the Seattle Center and even downtown and the pier if you don't mind a little walking. If walking a ton isn't your thing, they have a complimentary shuttle service which is wonderful! They'll drop you off and pick you up at numerous locations. They also have a nice little complimentary breakfast in their lobby. The rooms themselves are nice because they were converted from apartments so there are big closets and even kitchenettes (it's nice it you don't want to eat out a lot.) The only negative comment I have is that our room was in the corner next to the stairs so when people would come down the door would clunk and slam and it got a bit irritating. But overall, I would stay here again. Great service, great location, great city!

Shopping hint

You have to check out Pike Place Market. It's probably about a mile walk or a short drive. It's a must see in Seattle! Don't forget all the shops below! Also, if you're looking for cool and affordable souvenirs, check out Pier 55 Tshirt Company, Pirate's Plunder, and Ye Olde Curiosity Shop.

Funkey in Seattle

Would recommend Mon, Jun 22, 2009
We enjoyed this place! It had a small kitchen but our own coffee pot would have been nice. There was coffee, tea and rolls in front room, but I made three or four trips to bring coffee and food to my sleepy roommates. The bathroom door did not close all the way without a hard push. Would wake up other to close. Nice tub and shower, big walkin closet held our luggage. Three older gals totally enjoyed! A nice outside area to use. Great help with bags by staff. Street parking worked for us.

Very convenience location

Would not recommend Wed, Jun 17, 2009
Most of the staffs were good, but one of the staff when I checked out in the morning of 16th was so terrible. She gave me an unpleasant look before replied me " How many?" when I asked for holding my bag because my flight was in the evening. It was totally unbeleivable experienced for me because she acted like she was alone and did not need to greet me or give me any services. I think she has no service mind at all .... should she gets one?
