Too Noisy
The rooms that face the street are way too noisy. The windows are super thin. This hotel seems to be on a truck route and the room shook every time a truck went by. I couldn't sleep. Maybe they can invest in noise reduction windows.

Great Value Hotel for Families or Travelers
This is a newer hotel, very close to the Space Needle/EMP Seattle Center but convenient to the heart of downtown (1/2 mile). Such a great room layout, VERY comfy, huge couch, super mattress. The hotel has pretty much all you could need, though on a smaller scale, and is right across from a Walgreens if you need anything. Great for vacationers or buisness. I will be staying there again.

Fully Pampered at Seattle/Downtown Hyatt Hotel!
The hotel was excellent. Originally was only going to stay one night but stayed one more. I feel that the hotel was absolutely clean and beautiful, the staff was incredible, food was good (they do have complimentary breakfast which I didn't know prior to arrival), and pool was very nice, though a little strong on chlorine. No hot-tub though, which I would have preferred. But room was BIG, with large sectional couch, desk, refrigerator (but no microwave), and the best pillows I've ever slept with! Best of all though was free shuttle to anywhere within one mile, which was plenty of distance so didn't have to use my car from time I parked in Hotel garage on Sunday until I left today. Max wait for shuttle was about 5 minutes; went to waterfront, Aquarium, Seattle Center, 13 Coins and other places with no hassle. Great service!!

Sightseeing tip:
Not Applicable
The shuttle that the Hyatt provides takes you anywhere within one mile, and that may sound like a small area but there are tons of places to go from the hotels location including Seattle Center, Space Needle, Pacific Science Center, Seattle Waterfront including aquarium and museums, and many restaurants. Very quick pick up time also; never waited over 5 minutes for shuttle!

Night in the city
Awesome room and bathroom. Only disadvantages to the stay was that there wasn't a microwave or hot tub. Great location, walking distance to most Seattle sight seeing and shopping. I would definitely stay here again.

fairly typical Hyatt, but remote and loud
Ist room (2nd floor) over looked gas station parking lot where the local car stereo geeks congregated at 1 AM to compete. Staff complied with request to change room (9th floor) where the background noise from the roof HVAC was constant but tolerable. Off the free metro bus routes, 10 blocks from light rail, cramped parking garage at $!5/night, but very good free shuttle most anywhere downtown. Helpful, friendly staff, clean rooms, but bad breakfast: free stuff was limited and tasteless and they charged extra for everything else.

Quite a nice place for a short visit to Seattle
I've stayed here for six nights at the beginning of September 2011. I was attending a conference and was a bit late in booking my room at the conference hotels, so I ended up at Hyatt Place. A rather new hotel (not older than a year or two), clean and with spacious rooms (especially compared to European hotels). Location: about 20 min. walk from downtown, about 5 min. walk from the Seattle Needle. Does not qualify for the flat rate cab ride from the Sea-Tac airport to the downtown hotel district ($32); instead you'll have to pay about $45, tip included. Room: large room with an excellent bed (best I've slept in in the last two years, including a couple of 4* and 5* hotels in Europe). An additional sofa could also be used for sleeping by a second guest. Large TV, free wireless, coffee maker, you know - the usual. Breakfast: basic complimentary breakfast (milk, cereals, coffee, some bagels). Since I'm not a morning person, the coffee was the only thing I tried and it was ok. Cooked breakfast is available as well, but did not try it. Bought a ham and cheese sandwich once, nothing spectacular except for the price, which I thought was a rip off: $10. Staff: nice, pleasant, not sure if they're helpful or not since I did not need help. Other: pool and fitness room available, but I did not check them out. They also have two computers and a printer in the lobby (the e-room) where you can go online (if you're traveling without a computer / ipad) and you can print something if needed (i printed a copy of my presentation). Complimentary USA Today in the lobby I think. Nice touch: Granny Smith Apples available in the lobby all day :) Overall, location is the only weak point of this hotel.

Short walk from hotel
2-3 blocks towards the waterfront there's a nice sports bar in a plaza next to the Space Needle, serving a tasty kobe beef burger. Not sure if it's the best burger in Seattle, as they were advertising it, but it's quite good.
