The Hotel Vintage was in walking distance in the center of town and we walked almost everywhere. Tulio's was fantastic for ... meals and the surrounding restaurants were numerous and also great. Spacious and a great location
GetawayFromWork Oct 27, 2009
A friend and I went on a "girls" trip and chose this hotel as part of the package. We've both traveled and have seen a lot of ... hotels. The Vintage Park was fun. We were given a spacious room. There was enough room for a seating area with a couch, chair and coffee table plus the cabinet with the TV and mini bar. The small worksurface installed next to the closet even had an office-ready chair. The bathroom counter was the width of the bathroom, not a stingy few inches surrounding the sink. There was plenty of space for the cosmetic & toiletry bags of two high-maintenance women. We also liked the animal print terry cloth robes available for our use. The first night we made sure we were back in time for the happy hour. The hotel features happy hours with local wines, in this case poured by the vinters. There were also some nice Ahi tuna appetizers. We didn't make it back in time for the happy hour on the other nights of our stay, though. It's true; there's no coffee in the rooms. I didn't mind dressing and enjoying a cup or two in the salon downstairs while my friend monopolized the bathroom in the morning. The hotel has a good selection of newspapers and the fireplace (gas) really adds to the atmosphere. We browsed the sample menus from nearby restaurants the hotel has made up in two professionally done "scrapbooks." We were able to pick out BOKA, which had the kind of adventurous, foodie menu we like. The hotel location was a good base for visiting the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, Snoqualmie Falls and Pike Place Market.

Nice boutique hotel in downtown Seattle
j2tx Oct 21, 2009
Hotel was nicely located in downtown Seattle. Reasonable walk to Pike's Place, waterfront, and lots of great restaurants. ... Our room was located on the fourth floor and faced Fifth St -- the street noise was bothersome. Except for the noise factor, we loved the hotel and would return (requesting a higher level room)

Staff were very helpful with business needs. The intimate restaurant has a wonderful Italian-inspired menu focusing on fresh ... seasonal entrees. The evening wine-tasting with a WA-state vineyard was another great touch. This hotel totally represents what a "boutique" experience should be.

We really enjoyed our stay here and are avid wine drinkers. While the wine reception was fun, the reception area was cramped ... and only some of the nights showcased really good wines. But overall, it was a great stay and great location. It was very cozy and comfortable.

Wonderful Stay
Traveling Duo Oct 12, 2009
The hotel service was excellent, especially the front desk's willingness to answer any question I had. The room, though ... small, was very clean (and we have dust mite allergies that thankfully didn't act up at all during our stay). The biggest downside was that we heard glass tumbling (recycling collection?) each morning around 7am or so. The noise might have been reduced if we closed our window, but we preferred some fresh air to a stuffy room. Overall, a comfortable stay.

The hotel is in a great location, nicely decorated, good service and has a great wine reception nightly with free! Washington ... wines. The only downside of my stay was my room which was back in a corner next to the HVAC system which created a fairly soft but consistent background drone.

I go to Seattle about once a year. Downtown can be spendy to stay in, but always worth it. Have tried quite a few other ... hotels, with help from other travelers comments, and never had a complaint. Once again, I was more than happy with my pick. For downtown, the price was good. Walked to Qwest field and Pike place. We arrived to wine tasting in the lobby, always a good sign. I am pretty easily satisfied with hotels, i must be a simplton. This place was cozy, but had all the good stuff!

Overpriced, Over-the-hill
Seattle staycation Jul 3, 2009
The room, billed as a deluxe king, cost nearly $200 on Orbitz. I expected real glitz and luxury. We arrived to find that ... valet parking was an additional $30/day for paid guests. Being that none else was available, we sucked up and dealt with it. Check-in was quick and efficient. The small room had been decorated in an attempt to hide old, shabby bones: big wall/window treatments on tiny windows, thrown-together bedding (folded-under flat sheet with no fitted one) on a bed with a hump, curved curtain rod on the typical tub/shower combination, fresh paint on the beat-up or rotting door trim in the bathroom. For nearly an hour some guy was shouting and cursing in the street below at someone in the adjacent building. The next morning we were told hotel personnel had finally run him off. To their credit, they comped our parking fees to make up for it. Overall, it was not a good experience and I wouldn't go back. Our stay at the Pan Pacific was much better;

Romance is in the air...and the closet!
Moneypenny Jun 11, 2009
We were in town to see Dane Cook at the Key Arena. We arrived at the hotel at 5 pm, valet parking ($30/day ouch) then into ... the hotel for check-in. Very friendly and helpful staff. We then enjoyed an hour of complimentary wine and sangria before going next door to the restaurant (Tulio) for dinner (very tasty). Our room was very comfy and decorated nicely. Not your typical hotel style decor. Big flat screen, nice sitting chairs and very comfortable bed. I felt very hip staying here! Upon inspection of the room, when my husband opened the closet door he found that we had robes to use during our stay. Not white terry cloth, but animal print robes! Then when he opened the other door to the closet he found that there were animal print cami and boxers available for purchase! We didn't buy these but it was entertaining to have them in the closet! Anyways, it made the hotel a bit more unique for sure. After our dinner, we walked over to the monorail. It only took about 10 minutes (if that) to get there. We then hopped on the monorail and rode it to the Seattle Center. The location was perfect for any downtown experience. We slept great that night. In the morning we ate at Tulio again and loved every bite. Check out was at noon. We will definitely stay here again. Great price (we saved $75 by using orbitz over the actual hotel website), Awesome hotel choice.

Downtown Seattle is very walkable. Across the street from their famous public library. Pike Market was worth the steep hills and of course there's the famous needle.
