Good for overnight stay

My wife and I stayed one night after arriving by bus from Vancouver to catch the Coast Starlight train to LA the next day.The reception guys attire did not inspire but it does seem to have had a clean up since our last stay years ago. The room was clean, 1960s furniture, clean bed and sheets , fuzzy CRT TV. only 4 channels Bathroom was clean and seems to have been updated . . A request for 2 more pillows was met without problem.Starbucks with free Wifi just around the corner is handy but it closes at 7 pm! Agree that the 1940s elevator noises are a a worry but stay was fine You cannot get a room in an Australian city for that price

Great Location

If your looking for a cheap place to stay in downtown Seattle, the Hotel Seattle fits the bill. While it is old and in need of some renovation, overall my experience was a positive one. The staff was freindly and the room was clean. The main attractions for booking a stay here would have to be price and location. If you require the finer side of life there are plenty of nearby hotels to accomidate you at 2, 3, 4 or more times the price. If you just want a clean convenient place to stay, give the Hotel Seattle a chance.

Convenient

My needs were quite limited. I was in Seattle for baseball games only, and it was walking distance to Safeco. Though an old hotel, it was relatively inexpensive and in a decent area of town, and it served my needs quite well.

Great Location

The hotel is pretty run down, but for the location you can't beat the price. I stayed overnight to attend two baseball games so I was not too concerned with amenities or comfort...if you are...this may not be the hotel for you even at the good room rate! ALSO...they have NO PARKING...if you drive, you have to park in a pretty expensive city lot!!
