The Hotel Max's restaurant, Redfin, focuses on Japanese specialties and serves breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner.
Highlights
  • Art work by local artists and photographers on display in the lobby, hallways and guest rooms
  • Aveda-brand bathroom amenities
  • Close to well-known Seattle restaurants, including Wild Ginger

Rooms

Not surprisingly, each room at the Hotel Max sports an arty title. Solo art has a double bed and teak desk. Art of two beds rooms boast two double beds. Queen of art rooms sport a queen bed and artist king has king-size beds. Soothing tones of sage, charcoal gray and vegetal oranges decorate each room. All rooms have high thread-count linens and duvets, robes, coffee makers with Organa coffee and Steven Smith tea, Aveda bath amenities, a menu of pillow choices and a menu of spiritual inspiration suitable for almost any belief system.

Features

An art-filled lobby, guest rooms and hallways underscore the Hotel Max's dedication to art and Seattle-area artists and photographers. If the point is to create a serene environment, the Hotel Max follows up admirably with rooms done in calming hues. In-room tea accompanies in-room coffee and a spiritual menu promises inspiration for almost any faith or belief system. A whimsical "you got it" button on the telephone links guests with hotel services.

Hotel Max is an Oxymoron

We booked a room at the Hotel Max for a romantic one night get away, but the room, and especially the bathroom were so tiny it was cumbersome. It's in a great location, within walking distance to great restaraunts and shopping, it's just too small. I literally had to duck in the shower or I would have hit my head on the ceiling. Cute, quaint, W hotel lite.

Park at the garage next door and walk the 25 feet to the hotel, they charge one third for parking compared to the hotel.

Hotel Max delivered!!!

Hotel Max was such a great experience for us as we wanted a quick weekend getaway in Seattle before our new baby arrives. The location couldn't have been more convenient with just a short few blocks to Westlake shopping and restaurants. The hotel staff was so incredibly helpful and friendly. We were constantly amazed by how much they were willing to go the extra mile, from the vallet staff, and free pillow menu! The atmosphere is exactly what it promises: modern art infused with a classic turn of the century quality to the building. Fresh and clean. The room was a bit smaller, but very well done. The beds have to be the best I've slept on in any hotel, even 5 stars. We will DEFINITELY be back!

Our night away

We had a great time in Seattle, we did go to this little Itialian place called Montochellos and it was great. Good price, food and atmosphere. Parking was valet and ok and the hotel was clean and friendly. However the room was a little small. I must say that the bed was the best I have slept in in a long time.

Good downtown hotel

I flew into town on a Wednesday for business at the University of Washington. I arrived at the hotel around noon, and I fully anticipated just being able to drop my bags until the official check-in time. However, the hotel was able to check me in early, which was really convenient. The business center suited my needs just fine: there were two computers and a printer, which was very helpful. The staff was very courteous and helpful when I asked for directions or recommendations. The room was clean and small, but suited my needs just fine. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again.

Trendy, cozy hotel in great location

I stayed two nights at Hotel Max. It was clean, comfortable, and centrally located. Be aware that the rooms are small, and the bathrooms are smaller. Perfectly adequate for business travel, but not sure I would do this with kids or for long trips.

Time-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

A person could fly to Sea-Tac, take the light rail and only be two blocks away from the station. Right in the heart of downtown.

Fun and convenient

I was kinda surprised how small the room was when we first got there but it was comfortable and nice. The only issue we really had was the noise. The first night we were there we thought the window might have been open because the noise was so loud (we were on the 5th floor). If the windows were more noise-proof it would have been perfect. We were about 5 blocks from the market so it was great walking distance and the monorail that goes to the Space Needle was 2 blocks away. The best thing we signed up for was the Savor Seattle Food Tour. It took us all over the market and showed us different restaurants to go to and places to shop. Amazing tour! The restaurant thats on the first floor of the hotel was great and so convenient. You don't even have to go outside and you can order it for room service (if you like sushi). We thought it was a great location and we would definantly stay there again.

Nightlife tip: Short walk from hotel

Kell's is an Irish Pub we went to for dinner. It was ok food but if your looking for a fun place to hang out, dance and drink its perfect. It was packed by 10pm.

Loved it!

We were in for the night, between flights, and wanted to enjoy a bit of Seattle while we were there. The Max hotel made it easy to park, check in and out, and have a fun night in a hotel. Love the pillow selection and Aveda amenities.

Trendy...and Spendy

Great location, friendly & helpful front desk staff. Definitely NYC style rooms..a little cramped. The bathroom was far from clean. Housekeeping knocked on our door at 8AM! It was a thursday but still....8AM!! I will probably return to the Pan Pacific. Worth the extra $60.
