Rooms
Not surprisingly, each room at the Hotel Max sports an arty title. Solo art has a double bed and teak desk. Art of two beds rooms boast two double beds. Queen of art rooms sport a queen bed and artist king has king-size beds. Soothing tones of sage, charcoal gray and vegetal oranges decorate each room. All rooms have high thread-count linens and duvets, robes, coffee makers with Organa coffee and Steven Smith tea, Aveda bath amenities, a menu of pillow choices and a menu of spiritual inspiration suitable for almost any belief system.
Features
An art-filled lobby, guest rooms and hallways underscore the Hotel Max's dedication to art and Seattle-area artists and photographers. If the point is to create a serene environment, the Hotel Max follows up admirably with rooms done in calming hues. In-room tea accompanies in-room coffee and a spiritual menu promises inspiration for almost any faith or belief system. A whimsical "you got it" button on the telephone links guests with hotel services.

Artsy hotel in downtown Seattle
Wasn't sure what to expect, but the staff were friendly during the entire stay and even made an effort to make my husbands birthday special. The location was perfect! Blocks from the Public Market and shopping. Their art work is unique and interesting with each floor having a different artists work on the doors.

Hotel Max
Hotel was excellent only problem was that the city of Seattle decided to do road work in front of the hotel the night we arrived. They worked all night VERY NOISY but this was not the hotels fault as the city did not notify them of this until Friday morning of our stay. They did supply ear plugs which helped. Otherwise very nice place to stay.

Great Hotel
Hotel Max was a great hotel in downtown Seattle. Close to the hotel was the jazz alley and there many restaurants all within walking distance. The room was decorated nice and very comfortable. The one problem we had has nothing to do with the hotel. The street in front of the hotel was undergoing construction and we did not sleep at all do to the noise. Hotel max did offer us earplugs but they didn't help. when we talked to the front desk they were very understanding. [...] was the employee that worked with us and cheaptickets to resolve the issue.

Good hotel, room smaller than expected
Room was nice, artsy, but smaller than expected. Shower was very small, the smallest I've been in, you will constantly hit the walls with your elbows. Fridge was full, very little room for our drinks. Parking was free and valet, nice! Hotel location was excellent, close to everything. Service was also excellent. Room view was not so great, we were on the 8th floor and our view was of a condo. No privacy, close the blinds!

Very Friendly!
I booked Hotel Max because of it's location in the center of Seattle and the reasonable price for it's great location. The pictures online made the hotel look very modern, which it was. The one and only minor detail that I was a little disappointed with was the size of the room--fairly small. Online the rooms looked to be a fairly decent size, but there was barely room for two decent sized suitcases comfortably. The bathroom was split up--toilet and sink in one room and small stand up shower in the next room. The people at Hotel Max were more than friendly and accomodating. They treated us like we were friends. Overall, I would definitely stay there again. I feel that the price we paid for the great location and friendly service was more than worth it.

Seattle Holiday
My husband and I scheduled a Seattle mini break upon his return from Iraq. We looked at several hotels in the downtown area and decided on Hotel Max because we like the photos we saw. We were very pleased with our room. The room was small by American standards but well appointed and comfortable. Hotel Max has a wonderful pillow menu that allows you to find the right type of pillow for how you sleep. A great place to stay!!

boutique hotel downtown
The staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms are small, and the bathrooms are tiny. However, everything was clean, well maintained and nicely decorated. The beds are very comfortable, and a pillow menu is available to order any specific type desired. I would stay here again.

Cyber Dogs Cafe on the corner of 9th and Pike has vegan hot dogs and free computers for internet access with purchase of $2. The owner is really nice and plays music to go with the type of dog you order. For example if you order a brat with onions and sourkraut, she will play some German music. It is great fun.
