Rooms

Not surprisingly, each room at the Hotel Max sports an arty title. Solo art has a double bed and teak desk. Art of two beds rooms boast two double beds. Queen of art rooms sport a queen bed and artist king has king-size beds. Soothing tones of sage, charcoal gray and vegetal oranges decorate each room. All rooms have high thread-count linens and duvets, robes, coffee makers with Organa coffee and Steven Smith tea, Aveda bath amenities, a menu of pillow choices and a menu of spiritual inspiration suitable for almost any belief system.

Features

An art-filled lobby, guest rooms and hallways underscore the Hotel Max's dedication to art and Seattle-area artists and photographers. If the point is to create a serene environment, the Hotel Max follows up admirably with rooms done in calming hues. In-room tea accompanies in-room coffee and a spiritual menu promises inspiration for almost any faith or belief system. A whimsical "you got it" button on the telephone links guests with hotel services.

Artistically Interesting Hotel

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The rooms were small but clean and the clever display of photography really appealed to me. The hotel is close to sites and points of interest in Seattle.

Great location and customer service

Really nice location, right in downtown Seattle. The room is clean, and the bed is comfortable. They offered 4 types of pillows. The bathroom is small though. Accessible from Airport to Hotel via Sound Transit for $2.50. Close to many shopping malls.

Excellent Stay

We stayed at Hotel Max for part of our honeymoon trip. The room was great (not much of a view since we were in the back). The location was perfect, right in the heart of downtown.

Cool but still comfortable

A great hotel for business travel—especially if that business is a creative one. Not only close to transpo and all the good new food and drink downtown/belltown, but has its own decent restaurant and a lot of style. No worries bringing advertising clients back for a drink or a lobby meeting. Rooms are small but cool in the post-Schrager style. No wasted space but never felt cramped. Might be different with a companion or family in tow.

a gem in the city~

The location was within walking distance of downtown, the public market, shopping, museums, light rail, theaters, and restaurants. If travelling alone, queen bed makes room a bit small. Ask for Double as an alternative.

The Best Sleep Ever

Hotel Max is a great place to stay, with a convenient location and great service. The beds are wonderful and there's even a pillow menu! The room and shower was a bit too small, but since my boyfriend and myself are not big it did not matter. We reserved the Queen of Hearts room and for those individuals that are bigger I was strongly recommend a bigger room. Overall our two-night stay was really good. It would've been great if the hotel offered any kind of breakfast.

Small rooms, stuck up staff

The hotel has great decor, but the rooms are barely large enough to accommodate the double bed. we were on the 2nd floor next to the loading dock which meant that around 6 am beeping trucks were rumbling outside the window. My friend dropped off a package for us at the front desk and they were really rude to her about getting it to us. I suppose that with the discount it wasn't horrible, but I wouldn't stay here again.

So So At Best...

Rooms are tiny, elevators SLOW, valet had attitude, all around not worth the hype! Yes, the design is great, very modern and clean but totally not worth the cost for the "boutique hotel experience"!

Hip Hotel with Amazing Art

The hotel has an amazing art collection mostly from local artists with a modern/abstract concentration. The hotel has a hip/modern vibe but not in an overly busy sense. I was still able to relax and feel at home when I returned to my room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They provided excellent recommendations for restaurants as well as nightlife. And the location is great. Right near downtown/Belltown and Pacific Place/Westlake. Close to the Whole Foods in South Lake Union. Overall, great hotel.
