Couple traveling along the west coast

Me and my girlfriend fell in love with Seattle while staying over Labour Day weekend and the Max hotel was the cherry on top. A cool hotel inside and out, with very helpful staff. Being greeted with free beer from different breweries from all over was a perfect way to embrace the day while chatting with all the different guests from around the world.

Expected more

Unfortunately, hotel did not contact us and inform us that we would not be able to freely come and go from our hotel including driving our car or walking to our destinations. There was a political person staying at the hotel next to The Max and the area was constantly on lock down with police and secret service agents everywhere. You could not cross the street at several intersections and would have to walk several blocks out of the way to try to get where you were going. It was very inconvenient and wish we would have been given a heads up as it had been like that days prior to our arrival. Our room was also not what we had reserved. It was very small!! So small that we had to have our luggage stacked on top of each other.

Girl Trip!

Honestly a flawless stay! Not much to complain about. Slept well. Ate well. Convenient to A LOT of location. Staff was friendly. Hotel was very comfortable. If you made me name one bad thing, I can only think of is the tiny elevators - but who cares?

Conference

Would recommend Fri, Aug 14, 2015
The hotel was very nice. The staff was excellent. They were very friendly and helpful. This hotel is pretty much in the middle of everything. I took the light rail from the airport to the end of the line which I think was Westlake and it was only a few blocks from the hotel so I didn't have to rent a car while there. The staff gave me recommendations of things to see and arranged a tour to Mt. Rainier for me. The only thing I had a problem with was the WiFi but that could have been my fault. They also have a nice little gym on the 2nd floor. Over all, it was a nice place to stay.

Great location - older building

Would recommend Thu, Aug 13, 2015
This is a fun and funky property that is ideally located in the heart of downtown Seattle. Daily happy hour is a great touch. Staff very helpful and truly there to assure you have a great stay Elevators are very small and they still use window units for air conditioning. Other than those minor problems, this is an interesting historical property that really seems to go after the younger travelers.

Great hotel for exploring Seattle!

Would recommend Thu, Jul 30, 2015
Within walking distance to many Seattle attractions-Miller's Guild Restaurant served excellent wood-fired dishes. Staff responsive and always friendly/smiling-even at 6 am! Complimentary craft beer tastings each evening were tasty. Loved the music-themed art and design.
