Pleasant Hotel

The hotel was a nice botique hotel which I liked. My only complaint would be that the room seemed a little dark, particularly the bathroom. The lighting in there was very subdued and I like the bathroom to be bright. With the shade pulled for privacy at night we had to have every lamp in the room on. That's probably just me though. Everything else was very nice. Parking at $15.00 a night for hotel guests seemed high to me although everything in Seattle seemed high to me. I lived there for 30 years and hadn't been back in 15 years and EVERYTHING was considerably more expensive. Only the flowers in Pike Place Market were still reasonable.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

There is dining in the hotel for brunch until 1:30 pm. There are several restrauants within walking distance. All of them are expensive, A little coffee shop across the street and a donut shop down the street which are reasonably priced.

Should be a 5 star hotel

I am a regular traveler and I've stayed at some of the best hotels in the world. I expect that hotels, being a paid for service, should meet my expectations, and so I rarely leave a review unless there was something displeasing about my stay. This is the exception. The service was spectacular and that's no exaggeration. It's amazing how staff hospitality and attentiveness can turn a 3 star hotel into a 7. They were helpful, knowledgable, friendly, and gave me the impression they actually wanted me to have the best stay possible, without that fake friendliness I found at some other hotels. The location is perfect for walking to Seattle attractions and restaurants. The amenities were fantastic and we loved the free cupcakes and coffee! We rented the bikes which was great fun. I was very impressed and can guarantee that the next time I'm in Seattle, or elsewhere on the west coast, I'm staying with pineapple hotels.

Fun boutique hotel in the city.

The staff was very helpful and polite. We even got a call in the room to be sure all was well. It is within walking distance to everything in the city and a short drive to the Universities. The cupcakes in the afternoon and evening are a really nice treat. We would stay there again.

Lovely Spring Break

My boyfriend and I visited Seattle on Spring break and stayed at Hotel Five for four nights. I had done my research and initially chose this hotel for it's location. I was very pleased with my choice because we were able to walk everywhere I wanted to go. If you visit you should definitely wear comfortable shoes because you'll do a lot of walking. We were so happy with how many restaurants and cafe's were close to the hotel. My favorite was Top Pot Doughnuts which is across the street from Hotel Five. They had amazing coffee and doughnuts. We were able to walk to Pike's Place Market, The Seattle Aquarium, The Space Needle, and the EMP Museum from our hotel which was very convenient. We only used the Hotel Five shuttle once to go down to where the ferries are but it was a nice ride, the driver was very polite. I definitely recommend taking the ferry to Bainbridge Island, it was so beautiful and such a cute town. We walked back to the hotel from the ferries which was far but also enjoyable because we got to see a lot of downtown Seattle. Just a warning though, There are a lot of hills in Seattle and it was pretty rough walking 5 blocks straight uphill. We did so much walking that it was so nice to have a comfortable room to come back to. The bed was very nice and we were able to rest and watch TV before heading back out for dinner. The modern design of the room really made me happy, I loved being in the room even though we were there to see the sights. My favorite thing about the room was the bathroom. The rain shower was amazing and I was completely in love with the lotion and bodywash that they had provided. If you plan on going to any cool shows which visiting the Crocodile is a very short walk from the hotel and is a really cool venue. We were able to walk down there and enjoy a really awesome show. On our last night we went out with a friend in Capitol Hill and went to a cool bar called Canon. Although Capitol Hill was a little too far for us to walk (maybe had we gone on day one we would have had the energy) but we had an Uber car pick us up and it was fairly cheap and convenient. Overall I loved the hotel and when I go back to Seattle I will stay at Hotel Five again!

Comfy

Pretty decent location and very friendly staff. My only beef is that when we asked if we could have a later checkout or if they had a place that we could safely store our luggage in between checkout and our train (which was about 2 hours), they couldn't help us. So, we went to the train station 2 hours early
