Unpolished Gem
This was my first experience at Hotel 5. The hotel is a modern, slick remodel of what I believe used to be an old Ramada Hotel. They definitely used a lot of creative energy to erase all memories of the Ramada. The colors and furniture are slick and bright and make the experience fun. There is still some work to be done. The shower curtains are a bit too short for the tubs (some rooms are shower stalls only), the cable TV was on the fritz during my 3-night stay (flickered in and out), and the internet was unreliable. That being said, the staff is amazing. They are courteous, friendly, and service-focused. They handled challenges with professionalism and cool and I know once they work out the kinks, this will be a great overall value. Please understand I will return. Great customer service in short supply in our modern world and it easily makes up for small shortcomings.

I liked the Hotel Five!
I moved to the Hotel FIVE from the Renaissance because I was unhappy with the staff at the Renaissance (and the $13 wifi). Even thought the Hotel FIVE was further away from the Convention Center, the staff at Hotel FIVE were more helpful than those I had dealt with at the Renaissance. The room was very comfortable and very nice. The Icon Grill and Top Pot Donuts are right down the block and both of those restaurants were great.

Hotel Five
Enjoyed our stay here, everything looks new and modern. Very clean, friendly staff. Visited for a conference, Hotel Five has a nice central location. Easy to see the sights, close to public transit. The only thing missing in the room is a mini fridge.

Great value, great staff
Hip hotel in a convenient location that's only a skip away from downtown Seattle's main attractions. The knowledgeable staff member who greeted us gave us the skinny on where to eat, where to drink, and where to go, all without judgement or sass. Definitely a nice place to stay for the price!

Cool boutique experience in a great location
From the complimentary bikes and mini cupcakes in the lobby to individual Keurigs and useful umbrellas in the rooms, the Hotel 5 was full of great touches. Close to all the major sites and great restaurants. The front desk staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly. The only amenity lacking was that the workout room was rather basic and not big enough to accommodate all the guest traffic it had.

If you like oysters, they had oyster shooters at the market that were delicious. There was also a Russian bakery that had an amazing breakfast. We ate there twice. I think it was called Peroshkis.
