Great Location, Great Hotel
We used to live in Seattle and decided to visit the city for the weekend and see some old friends. The location of Hotel 5 seemed perfect and although I'd never heard of it, it looked like an ideal spot. The hotel is decorated in a really fun and hip way. The staff was friendly and best of all, they have an underground parking garage so we didn't have to park on the street downtown. Everything was clean and new and the WiFi was free which is a rare thing these days. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful, convenient, great location!!
I asked for a room away from the MonoRail, based on another [...]Customer's suggestion. My room was quiet, immacuately clean. The lobby and the room were decorated with color, style, everything was new and fresh! Friendly, helpful staff! Would have been nice to have room service evenings, but the restaurant is only open until 1:30... Other than that, everthing was great! Short walk to Pike Place Market, and plenty of other Seattle favorites! I will defnately return!

Just a 2 blocks to the right of the hotel, next to the Glass Blowing Studio, is an excellent little Thai restaurant!

Solid Choice
The exterior of the hotel is a little rough but it is nice on the inside. The room was small simple and clean which is exactly what I like but others may not. The immediately surrounding area was not terribly active, but roughly three blocks to the south or west put you in the middle of the action. It was a good experience for a single traveler. The rate was a tad bit pricy but it is downtown so that should be expected.

Above and Beyond
Upon checking in to Hotel Five, I was informed that the room I had reserved had been oversold and I had been downgraded. I was not thrilled at this news, considering it was part of a birthday celebration. When I spoke with the hotel manager about this, he did not hesitate to go above and beyond for me. He called around to his sister properties and found an amazing room at another hotel a few blocks away for me! He arranged for me to check in with no hassle and comped us a free breakfast the next morning. I am completely blown away at the customer service I was provided. I will recommend Hotel Five to EVERYONE I encounter based solely on the care, generosity, and attention I was provided.

Long walk from hotel
Not too long of a walk to Pikes Place, but wouldn't ask my grandma to walk it, just 5-6 blocks south. Great clubs and bars only blocks away!

I aboslutely love staying at hotel 5! The staff are always friendly, the location suits me great - its a little out of the way from the hustle of seattle but still within walking distance of everything. The rooms are really spacious too.

Construction Zone
Although I did not realize the hotel was undergoing remodeling at the time I booked, it was actually no problem. All the guests were in rooms above the construction and the staff and trades people were very courteous and considerate of the situation. We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay once again at Hotel FIVE.

Perfect Destination
The best aspect of Hotel Five is the location. We literally took the West Link rail from Sea-Tac right to Westlink station, got off and walked maybe ten minutes to our hotel. )Cost was only ($5.75 for the both of us) Given my boyfriend and are are pretty athletic and we travel light- me with a back-pack and he with one big Nike gym bag-nevertheless we made it comfortably to our hotel. Additionally, we were in the center of all the tourist attractions. We walked about ten minutes to the Space Needle, the EMP museum, and Pikes Place, the Westlake shopping area as well as the Pier. When the snow set in our front desk clerk had great recommendations for where to order take out. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations but the rooms that are done are great. The noise in the morning was a bit loud- not ideal for sleeping in but bearable the walls were very thin however. The design is very modern. Loved the rain shower head but the overall shower was a bit small, and the bed was hard and left a lot to be desired as the sheets were also crisp and not soft. Overall, a very great priced hotel located in the center of all the great attractions Seattle has to offer. Able to overlook the small shower and lack of bath tub. If you go check out Top Pot Doughnuts right next door.

Money-saving tip:
Not Applicable
Get the City Pass for $120. Offers 6 attractions for a great price. You will pay way more if you pay individually. Also, the lunch at the Sky Needle restaurant atop the Space Needle is overprices. Get the City Pass, head up to the observation deck and grab a bite from the Cafe. Way cheaper than restaurant and still a good deal.
