Seattle Stay
This was my second stay at Hotel Deca, and both times have been positive. Staff are incredibly friendly, both on the phone and in person. The rooms are cozy, but exactly the size I needed for business. One slight issue was that the individuals in the room next door to me were a bit loud, and this was exacerbated by somewhat thin walls. TV sounds, talking, and closing doors were all heard fairly clearly.

Last Minute Booking
Had to book a week long visit on very late notice, many hotels could not accommodate my travel dates. Hotel DECA did and at a price that was far more reasonable for the quality of the hotel as compared to similar hotels downtown. For being just a few miles north of downtown with easy public transit options to and from this hotel worked out nicely. Room was clean and modern looking with updated amenities.

Nightlife tip:
Short walk from hotel
Two blocks away from the University of Washington was both a blessing and a curse, great food and drink options just a short walk, but you also have to deal with additional traffic due to all the students.

Super Helpful Front Desk
Very impressive older, art deco-styled hotel in the University District. It offers a limited shuttle service and free non-new movies via a DVD library. Very pleasant, helpful people at the front desk, no matter what the hour. Told us how to get places, where to find a meal and good details about sightseeing attractions. Thumbs up on the Space Needle, Pike Market and the Duck Rides. They ordered both a cab and a town car for us ahead of time and didn't forget or mess up. Our only complaint was a small, oddly shaped room with what seemed to be a double bed instead of the promised King. But it was clean and comfy except for lack of space.

Artfully Delightful
Walking into the hotel you feel like youve stepped into a Picasso painting. From the crushed blue velvet lined wallpaper in the elevator to the stunning wire sculptures in the lounge its a feast for your eyes. The rooms are just as aesthetic as well. I was pretty excited about the extra large complimentary bottles of bamboo shampoo, conditioner, and body wash that were provided for use. I was put up on the 9th floor in a single room which had a gorgeous side view of the space needle. The staff were extremely friendly and informative and the coffee shop connected was pretty good. There were times that I could hear people through the walls but it wasn't anything that interfered with my sleep schedule. They also give you ear plugs in case you need them. I did not.
