No fuss, clean, easy.

Very nice place for overnight stay or business. Clean, not fussy, easy access to things. The only issue was the $19 SELF PARKING!!! Are you kidding me? Staff was friendly, room service was the TASTIEST EVER!!! Overall, solid place I would definitely stay there again.

nice stay in university area

The staff were wonderful, the rooms big and comfortable, decor was great. The only thing I did not like was the $18.00/day parking charge....I really think that should be a gratus for hotel guests, or at least a significant discount from the community...it added a hefty extra to my total charge.

Great stay for a Husky game

We walked from the hotel to the game. Location is perfect in that regard. Room is teeny-tiny, but cute and super clean. Bed is tiny but very comfy. Our sleep was hampered by a noisy neighbor, and I wish the hotel would've been inclined to throw our parking in for free or something to compensate, but we just got unlucky on that front. Still a great option.

Playing Goldilocks For a Weekend

Our stay spanned a 3 night, 2 day period. If were asking whether or not Hotel Deca is a "good" or even "good enough" hotel then my overall answer is yes, and I would likely stay there again. The staff was helpful and polite, and the rooms were beautiful but the cleanliness and aesthetics aside, my only dislike was a minor technicality caused by booking with a 3rd party dealer. Yes, the price was right but don't forget to read the fine print! I booked a room with a king-size bed because my fiance is 6'4". When we arrived (around 11 pm; after 7 hours of traveling) we went up to find that the room we were given was equipped with a full-sized bed. I was not amused, and I went downstairs to have our room corrected. I was told that because we were arriving "so late" all of the king-sized beds were already booked and that as a result of booking with a 3rd party dealer (apparently mentioned in the fine-print) we could be given whichever room was available for that night and upon request, the next morning, might be moved to a more appropriate room. Initially I was livid considering that I had PAID FOR A KING-SIZED BED but I said, "Ok" and hoped to fix things in the morning. The next day, however, as we carried about with our scheduled plans I called to check the status of our room -switch and was told that we had an hour to be back to pack up and move to the new room. This proved to be a challenge as we were at lunch 45 minutes away and we were traveling via public transportation. Long story short, we made it back and switched rooms, but the "slight inconvenience " put a damper on our travel plans and all-in-all we didn't get to do everything we had set-out to do on our trip. My greatest frustration with the situation was - they (the hotel) knew by our arrangements that we would be arriving around 11 (I arranged for their airport pick-up service; which by the way is a waste of money) so WHY would they not save us a room with a king-sized bed?! - Or even a queen for crying out loud.. The moral of the story is: WHEN BOOKING WITH/THROUGH A 3RD PARTY, AT THIS HOTEL AND PROBABLY OTHERS, CALL AHEAD TO MAKE SURE YOUR ROOM IS THE WAY YOU ORDERED IT. - Aside from that, Seattle was beautiful, the people were friendly, and the hotel was decent. Definitely go on the coffee crawl!

Overpriced and underwhelmed

My friend and i booked city level room with a king bed. When we arrived we were given a studio room with a double bed that is described by the hotel's website and staff when enquiring about it as 'ideal for a single traveler.' So as you can imagine it was not so ideal for two travelers. When I called the front desk, she stated there was nothing they could do and that I would have to call the company I booked it through. The customer service representative was somewhat friendly and helpful and attempted to make it right with a voucher on a future booking. In the end everywhere else was booked so my friend and I were forced to stay in a 200 sq ft room with a double bed, and it wasn't even downtown! I would spend a little extra money to stay downtown and get what you paid for!

Beautiful View, Nice Room

The room was very nice. The bed was very comfortable and the view was great. It was a little odd though that there is no light in the "walk-in" closet but other than that very nice. I was a bit disappointed that the parking was extra and $16 + tax per night to boot. A very comfortable room.

Not as expected

Our room is located at the corner of the floor and another room is right next to it. Every time the door is open, we could hear the noise and conversation very clearly. This made me feel very uneasy. House keeping is not really cleaning the room and once we use amenity, they would not refill the next day. As far as location, it is convenient to highway I-5 and University of Washington is nearby and there are many students walking around. There are tons of restaurants and bars on one particular street ( I don't remember the name of the street), which is within walking distance.
