Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites SEATTLE-CITY CENTER

We had a good stay at the hotel, it was nice and clean, and very close to Seattle downtown. The room was not too big, but was comfortable and clean. Room service was good and professional. I felt that there was some compromise on storage area. Also, it disturbed us that the rooms did not have a fridge. Hence, the four stars instead of five. Also, you have to pay for parking.

The only difficult thing was, entering and exiting the site, it was tight and a little confusing at times.

Positive: This hotel had an excellent breakfast buffet, and several times we took items in a bag (provided) for "breakfast on the go." Negative: We walked a few blocks to local attractions (Space Needle, Monorail, Ducky Tours), but the hotel was located on a very busy street, traffic was noisy, and we had several uncomfortable encounters with beggars and homeless people. Several other problems at the hotel: the beds hadn't been completely made when we checked in (looked like someone had sat on the bed or lain their head on the pillow), so we were relocated. The new room, though, did not have as good a view as the first one. Also, one evening, upon our return, we discovered that our window had been left open all day, and there were cigarette ashes on the windowsill (this was a non-smoking room). When management supposedly questioned housekeeping the next day, they denied having smoked in the room, regardless of the often smoky-smelling hallways. This hotel fit our needs, but I don't think we'd stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay. The location was fantastic. The staff was accomodating. We booked two rooms. They supplied us with adjacent, adjoining rooms. It was great. The morning breakfast was a hit too. No need to try to find a place to eat before heading out for a morning adventure

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and in good condition. Breakfast was good for the price.

Arrived late due to plane flight. Attendant more than helpful. Parking in garage under hotel, secure for only $10 per night. Good, hot breakfast in large room. Rooms with two queen beds made it more comfortable for the 4 teenagers with us. Ten minute walk to the Space Needle. It was a perfect choice for us. The beds were not the most comfortable, but okay.

Easy to find, good location for the price, RIGHT by the space needle. We had a good time and were impressed with the customer service. Our first night was sleepless thanks to a loose pipe in the wall. Every time anyone above us used water, the pipe would rub against the pipe hanger, making a HORRIBLE, shrill metal-on-metal noise. But, the next morning we told the front desk and they immediately moved us to a new room. Night #2 was quiet and perfect. For $5pp, the hotel shuttled us to/from the Seahawks game, which was wonderful on a 25 degree day! I would stay here again.

Good staff, very clean, rooms well equiped, had a king bed which was very good to sleep on. Hotel food in the Emerald was good. Good location, just blocks from Whole Foods, I had mini suit. Stayed at the Westin a few weeks before for three times the money and this Holiday Inn is a better hotel for those that like to handle there own items like bags, be left alone. Noise with the road, but it is Seattle. I will stay here again when I return to the city. [...]

We needed a clean, quiet place to stay for one night. This hotel fit the bill. The free breakfast was very good. Staff was friendly and helpful.
