Pleasant stay as usual
I have stayed at this hotel before. The rooms are very nice and the bathrooms are extremely nice. This trip I did see some wear on some of the furnishings. And my only other real complaint is that I was given a room right by the elevators so there was constant noise throughout the night especially when drunk idiots get off the elevator and talk loud while they stumble to their rooms.

The perfect stay
I spent a night at this well-loacted hotel and was fortunate to be upgrdaded to a suite with sea views. The majority of the staff were exceptionally and made it feel like it really was a pleasure to assist.

relaxing weekend getaway
Hotel was in a prime location, less than 2 blocks from the light rail and right in the center of downtown, close to the convention center, Westlake Mall (monorail on top floor takes you to Seattle Center/Space Needle), and other shops/restaurants. A few blocks in one direction leads you to Pike Place Market; a few blocks in the other direction would take you towards the Capitol Hill area. Staff were very friendly and informative, taking time to explain the hotel's amenities. Room was comfortable, immaculately clean, and tastefully decorated. Bath had a soaking tub and a separate shower which was nice.

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
If you need to go to the airport and don't have too much luggage, take the light rail. The Westlake station is less than 2 blocks from the hotel (corner of 5th & Pine) and costs less than $3 for a one way trip to the airport. The ride only takes 35-40 minutes.

Nice central located business hotel
The hotel is central in downtown area of Seattle and not far away from Capital Hill, which was for me quite handy as a single tourist. Otherwise nothing to complain, it was pretty much Hyatt standard: clean, professional and quiet. Gym was nice and big enough for a workout.

Grand Hyatt Seattle
I found the property to have a great location, beautiful amenities as one would expect from a Grand Hyatt, and with a Ruth Chris and a sushi restaurant on site one could not ask for much more. The hotel was exceedly nice the room was also a cut above the normal. The only thing that marred the stay was that as I like to have a cup of coffee in the morning in my room, I found that there was the requisite coffee maker on hand but there was no sugar of any kind real or fake, and there was also no creamer of any kind. Although I drank the coffee black which is not my usual wont, and it was tasty, it would have made it a perfect stay to have the sweetner and creamer. Isn't it funny that it's the little things that make the impression

Quite enjoyable
Visiting family, the downtown location made so many of the "things to see" in Seattle within walking distance, including being 1 block from the transit system which was a great way to get in from the airport. The room was spotless, the bathroom was spa-quality. [...] I hope to return.

Entertainment tip:
Short walk from hotel
Try the Chocolate Tour that runs from The Chocolate Box store, just down Pine Street from the hotel. More chocolate than you can eat, and a real education in what makes quality chocolate. Plus, it's a way to see some neighborhoods in Seattle.

great location
very attentive staff. Right next to monorail, a few blocks to Pike's Market. Only restaurant on site is a sushi bar and a Ruth Criss..so very expensive to eat at the hotel. A couple of good pubs nearby...all the shopping in the world...the only thing missing was a good place for breakfast.

Pleasant and unobtrusive
I enjoyed my first trip to Seattle largely due to the central location of this hotel. The staff were kind, helpful and relaxed. The hotel itself has plenty to do and is only about 8 blocks from Pike Market, the heart of the city. In the lobby you'll have a Ruth's Chris steakhouse (which also serves breakfast, actually) and a Starbucks, but not a lobby shop so far as I could tell. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and there is no security issue in the area as far as I can tell. I would happily stay here again - the hotel helped make my stay comfortable and never once got in the way of anything I really needed to enjoy myself.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
Walk westward (i.e. can also go northwest or southwest) toward more restaurants and breweries than you'll need. Eastward you won't find much on foot.
