Weekend in luxury!
samfrancisco33 Nov 2, 2009
I am so glad that my friend and I splurged on the luxurious Fairmont. It was beautiful and comfortable, and the service was ... first class. We were booked at another downtown hotel for the weekend, and checked out after one night after being horribly disappointed with a TINY room, terrible customer service AND loss of our reservation for the next 2 nights. We are so glad we switched to the Fairmont. From the second the smiling and friendly doorman opened the front doors for us, we felt like royalty. Very professional and friendly service across the board. And the room was beautiful and very quiet, despite being in the middle of everything. My friend and I felt like princesses!

Elegance personified!
Traveler's Thoughts Sep 14, 2009
The Fairmont is elegance personified -- wonderful service in every regard - concierge, business center and complimentary car ... & driver just start our list; our suite was beautiful with every comfort at our fingertips and the downtown location is superb for vacationers and business travelers alike. And the room rate was particularly attractive this time as well!

Fairmont Olympic Seattle - Perfect place
Retired and loving it Sep 6, 2009
This was one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in and we plan to return to Seattle and stay at the Fairmont. The room ... was lovely - fabulous linens and bathroom supplies. The restaurant (Shuckers) was top of the line.

Make life easy and eat dinner at Shuckers - you are in for a treat. Bartender is knowledgeable, friendly and interesting. Great service and food.

Very Nice and Convenient
cf Aug 30, 2009
One of the nicest in downtown. Views are bad. We looked at an office bldg from the 11th floor. Concierge was fabuous...all ... of them!!! Bath is small. Decor is a bit too victorian for my taste. We had an exec suite which I recommend for a few extra $$.

If going toward the water, leave the hotel and travel pararell to Pike, them turn toward water. Reverse coming back....not as many steep hills. Purple, just across the street, is good. Lowells at Pikes is good for breakfast.

This review is may be a bit extreme because they upgraded my room. Room was available at 11:00 am event though check-in was ... 3:00 pm. Great view of space needle from my window. Robes in room. Turn down service. We were treated like royalty. This is a perfect hotel if you want to spoil yourself.

Resturant is a little pricey..like youd expect. Plenty of Cafe's and resurants nearby. The public market is about 5 blocks away.

joey Aug 18, 2009
everything was absolutely wonderful, the location for us was perfect, we did alot of walking down town, and took advantage of ... the great fittness center. we dined in Shuckers restaurant the first evening, the service and food was an excellant dining experience. the following day not so much went in for Happy Hour for appy's and very disappointed with customer service. In fact the server ran after us saying we did not fill out the bill, to her surprise she did not read it correctly. She was having a bad day and we defianely experienced it. Would stay there again.

Fairmont Olympic Seattle
Baseball Fan Aug 12, 2009
I've stayed at nice hotels, like the Campton Place and Palace in San Francisco, Hotel Metro and Hilton in New York, Park Lane ... in London, etc., but the Fairmont Olympic was easily their equal. It was comfortable, relaxing, convenient to my important venues, shopping, restaurants and Safeco Field. A block from the University Street Station of Seattle's developing mass transit, and across the street from Benihana's. The Fairmont Olympic business center was professional and their support was perfect. The staff was very friendly and they were serious about being a "green" hotel: the nightly valet parking was free because I had rented a hybrid car! All in all, this was a perfect hotel for me and as a result I plan to stay at the Fairmont in San Francisco on my next trip there.
Traveler type: Couples
The Fairmont Olympic was about a 25-minute walk from Safeco Field, which is perfect for active guests who want to enjoy the cool climate (usually!) of Seattle and want to watch a young and energetic Mariners club. Also, from the heart of the business district to the ballpark one can walk through historic Pioneer Square area and see lots of interesting shops and restaurants and historic buildings.

Great food within 3-4 blocks--Wild Ginger (Asian), Tulio's (Italian), Metropolitan Grill (great steaks)--all an easy walk. Great shopping is an easy 5 minute walk. Our only regret is that the hotels less formal restaurant the Garden Court was closed .
--Experienced traveler, Dallas, TX Aug 8, 2009
Wild Ginger, a short walk from the Fairmont Olympic, has excellent small dishes of Asian fusion cuisine, meant to be shared, a great bar, lots of fun. The duck breast dish is excellent. Down in Pike Place Market, Lowells has water views and one of the best breakfasts we have ever had - salmon omelets, freshly made corn beef hash, light cinnamon rolls -- the perfect start to a Seattle sightseeing tour.
