family get away for spring break

The only amenity that would have made this hotel perfect would be if they offered breakfast. be that as it may, the place was at the best location to see the attractions in down town Seattle. it is also centrally located if you are using the public transportation, the ferries are 5 small blocks west, the underground rail is one north and one west. most buses pass by within a block or less. there is a large drug store south of the hotel on 4th which also carries food and ready made sandwiches. The columbia building is two blocks south, this is the tallest building on the west coast, you can look down on the needle from there. We walked to the stadium as well as Pikes place market. Chinatown is close by as well as target, Macy's and many other stores. well worth the price

Staff was great and location good, but that is all

The staff was excellent and the location was great, but I would never stay here again. It is an old building (hence boutique hotel) so there is no air-conditioning. They were able to provide me with a fan, and the window opened about two inches so it was only okay after the first night. It was in the 40's °F at night, so can't imagine how hot and stuffy it would be in the summer. The shower was awful - there was no water pressure and it was either scalding hot or freezing cold.

Friendly Staff and good location

The hotel was hard to find at first, but the staff there is amazing. They took the time to look at a map with us and tell us the best way to get to the different places we wanted to visit. The rooms where a bit small, but the beds are comfortable. Really enjoyed the stay.

Not sleeping in Seattle

The hotel staff was very friendly and Accommodating!!!! The rooms in this hotel we're very small and dirty!!!!! The updates in these rooms were a improvement but they weren't completed. The Bathrooms had loud toilets you could never flush late night or early morning. This old property has a lack of outlets and the room safe in on the top self of the closet . Please take my review very seriously before renting this hotel.

Disappointed

In town for a wedding. Hotel had only 1 elevator for 8 floors. Time waiting terrible. A/C not working properly. Lights all went out when using hair dryer. Had to walk the 8 flight when no elevator in 25 minutes . Bad experience. No room service on 2nd day.

Not worth the price

Overall, not worth the price in my book! It had two elevators, of which one only worked. The showerhead came up as far as my chest and the afternoon desk clerk had the personality of a rock! Only thing going for it was the location and the bed was comfortable.

A Week In Seattle

The staff here were super helpful and always courteous. As a young adult, I have been to my share of hotels where the employees wouldn't give me the time of day because I am young--not so here! The elevator didn't work very well and they had the other one closed for repairs, but that will probably get fixed over the next few weeks. My sister and I stayed in a king room and it was small. We had to be very organized throughout the week to make use of the space but it was manageable for what we needed; location was more important than size or amenities. The location is probably the best part of this hotel. 15 minute walk to 15 minute bus ride to pretty much any major Downtown attraction. June and July are the best weather months to come to Seattle.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

For art lovers, go to Chihuly Garden and Glass. For shoppers/architectural nerds go to "The Ave" near UW and visit the campus. So beautiful!

Post cruise trip

The hotel is decent for shower and a bed. However, the employees at the front and bell desk are awesome! They were very helpful with suggestions especially since we had two kids and trying to make their experience the best. Rooms were a bit tight & old but it was manageable. Fortunately, we had a street view so, it was good!
