Nice and Unbeatable location, Low price

Our stay was part of our honeymoon. We stayed there for a few days prior to a Cruise to Alaska. This is a very centric hotel in a good spot (in front of the public Library). All the Stores and great restaurants were a few blocks away. We went everywhere walking. The Pike Market, the Pier, the Monorail, etc. The hotel is somewhat old, specially the elevators, but the rooms are small(enough room for 2 people, 3 luggage bags, camera bag, coats, etc), clean, have free wi-fi, Flat Screen TV, Coffee in the room, desk, and a Big and soft KS bed. There is a safe in the room big enough for passports, laptop, camera etc. The staff was very friendly and gave great recommendations on restaurants, tours, help with taxi/transportation options to airport, pier, etc. There is a "Seattle's Best" coffee in the lobby (connected to). So you wake up to the smell of great coffee. ;)Ask for [...] at the front desk. Specially if you prefer communication in Spanish. ;)

Time-saving tip: Not Applicable

If you arrive by Air, take the Gray Line bus (they are blue) from the airport at gate 00 (Double Zero). It's the cheapest and rather fast way to get to downtown. It does not stop at the hotel but stops at a hotel a block away. It's a short walk to the hotel.

Good location. Clean and neat

We were there overnight to take a cruise the next day. It worked out well, but if to stay longer, would want a hotel with bigger rooms and a restuarant.

Unbeatable location for the price

I stayed in room 816. The location is perfect. You are within walking distance to many attractions, and public transportation. This hotel was 40% less than all surrounding hotels. The rooms are on the small side, I wouldn't recommend more than 2 people in each room. They could use a little updating, but I don't travel to spend my entire trip in a room. It was very clean, had a very comfortable bed and was big enough to hold my things - exactly what I was looking for! There is a parking garage next door ($23.00 a day including tax) and the doorman was very helpful. The staff behind the desk was very nice. There is a coffee shop attached to the lobby, and the Jasmine Restaurant next door has wonderful food, and is a great place to have a drink. All in all, I would definitely stay here again. Can't beat the price and location!

Great Location in Downtown

It was a great location downtown within walking distance of shopping and Pikes Place Market. If you want to wander and can deal with the steep hills on the return you can walk down to the piers for lunch/dinner. A four block walk will take you to the monorail and a short ride to the Space Needle. The bathroom was on the smallish side with an awkwardly placed sink, but nothing terrible. The room was a comfortable place to stay at the end of the day. New towels were provided every day and the room was tidy. I would recommend this place based on location alone, but if you would like to travel outside of downtown and need to rent a car this may not be the best place to stay. There is parking in garages, but as with any urban area it is expensive and it can be very congested in the afternoons.

Dining tip: Long walk from hotel

Go to The Fisherman's Restaurant and Bar down by the piers. Enjoy the fresh seafood during sunset on a calm clear evening. A little pricy, but well worth it for a couple's night out.

Can't beat the price

I was in town with my wife to see a late night show and just needed a place to sleep. We got a great value. The room was comfortable and well maintained, comparable to rooms that could cost $50-$100 more per night. One thing: it would be nice if the room had a mini-fridge. I had to ice a bottle of wine to get it cold. Also, when dining out in the city, I had to remind myself not to order too much because I couldn't take anything back to the room. Still, a great value and very comfortable.

Great value for downtown location.

Service was great. Each time I visited the front desk, the staff asked me if I needed any transportation or other help. My room was small and lacked a desk to sit at, but was very comfortable. The bed featured two thicknesses of pillows, so I could choose my preference. Great mattress - I slept wonderfully. If you have business in downtown Seattle, this hotel is dead center and only 2 blocks from the light rail system that runs from the airport. It cost me $2.50 each way to commute between the airport and my hotel! I highly recommend using the light rail system - its fantastic.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Use light rail to travel to this hotel from the airport. $2.50 each way. The rail is new, clean and fast. Plus, the buses that run downtown are free and frequent. If you're doing business in downtown Seattle, a car is a waste of time and money.
