In Need of Attention

The hotel was clean, but clearly it's days of excellence are past. my room overlooked what appeared to be a large, gloomy airshaft and it had mold in the curtains and carpet. I had an immediate allergic reaction such that I began wheezing and had to request another room right away. The second room did not have hot water in the shower although the hot water in the bathroom sink was working. I had to request that the shower faucet be repaired as a lukewarm shower was not acceptable. The heating system was extremely noisy. This place is in need of renovation, but the location has the advantage of access to the light rail station (2 blocks), and restaurants and shopping are all around with the main downtown shopping district only a few short blocks away. On a positive note: The hotel staff were very responsive and took care of the requests right away.

Great location, awesome staff

Although this hotel is a little older and rooms are a little small, the location is awesome and staff was so friendly. I will be staying here again and again, you can walk everywhere. For the price there is no where better downtown Seattle!

ideal for a business trip

This is an older hotel (but I really like the older feel to it), right in the heart of Seattle. I love that I can walk to anywhere that I want in the downtown area. Also, this is a really reasonable price (especially compared to others in the area). The rooms are small, but they are cozy and clean.

good location, aging but clean rooms

In town for a conference. Room was clean but rapidly aging. Toilet seat in bathroom could not be left raised because plumbing obstructed - how is this acceptable in any circumstance?!?

Great Location

Easy walking to most of downtown. We left our car in self parking for two nights while we attended a concert at McCaw Hall ($7 cab ride), and were able to walk to The Act Theater, shopping, dining, and a movie. The room was on the smallish side, although fine for us. The bathroom size bordered on ridiculously small. No real ammenities or view to speak of and room service available only until 7 pm. The noise was notable, but not unbearable. My top criteria were met: cleanliness and a helpful, courteous staff. Not the place for you if you are seeking luxury, but for the more practical traveler, a good buy. We'd go back for the 20% discounted rate, but the regular rate was a little too high for the quality.
