Good value, good location

The Executive Hotel Pacific (EHP) is a mix of pluses and minuses. A big plus is location. Located downtown next door to the W and a block away from the posh Fairmont Olympic, EHP is easily within walking distance of major city attractions, including Pioneer Square, Pike's Market, and downtown shopping and restaurants. Seattle's spectacular new library is (literally) just across the street. Minuses include small room size (quite crowded for 2 people) and noise control (we could hear the TV in adjoining rooms), not to mention elevator sounds. There's nothing shiny and new about the EHP. Even so, given how little time many travelers spend in their rooms, and for folks on a budget, the EHP offers very good value.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Try the Triple Door Bar on Union between 4th and Pike. Happy hour (4-6)means cheap drinks and (even better)cheap, delicious food brought fresh from top-drawer restaurant, Wild Ginger, which is right next door. 3 martinis and a heaping plate of hors d'oeuvres = about $12.00.

Good location; value for the money; rooms are small but certainly serve the purpose of sleep and rest. Staff members were most pleasant and helpful.

Small but cozy

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel in Downtown Seattle the second weekend of October 2008. The room was small but clean and cozy. The bathroom was very small and barely roomy enough for one. Nice location centrally located within walking distance to most all sites and amenities. Parking garage wasn't very convenient, around the block. Staff was courteous and helpful.

Stripped down to it's essentials, but with a great location

Executive Hotel Pacific was the cheapest hotel that we could find Here's the rundown. Positives: - Great location= you're within walking distance from Pike Place Market and a number of shopping areas. You can catch a bus to almost anywhere from just a street or two over and you're right down the street from the pier to catch ferries. We had a parade come right by our window when we were there. - Great upkeep of rooms= The rooms where cleaned and fresh towels and amenities where taken care of every morning. My wife has terrible allergies and these rooms where quite safe for her allergies. Negatives: - The bathroom is a little small for two people. - The TV doesn't get many channels, however, this gives you more incentive to get out into the city, so it turns out to be a positive. - No in-hotel dining. However, you are right down the street from plenty of dining options that offer you a wider variety of food choices, so no biggie. - Very slow internet. On the third floor, our internet would go in and out. On the first floor, however, it was seemless.

Pike place market and the walkway leading up and down the street. - Crepes de France. Order the Crepe du Jour and the one with strawberry, nutella and powdered sugar. - There's an italian place that makes great pizza slices when you first walk up to the market. - Grab some Rainier cherries from one of the fruit stands.

Visit in Seattle

It's a little hotel in a big downtown district. Great location. The hotel is well decorated. However the room is very small and the bathroom is kind of outdated. Overall is convenient and comfortable.

good location

This hotel is in a good location. Just across the street from the library and within walking distance to most everything. Rooms are quite small. Best for a single person or couple use to traveling light. The staff was hellpful and friendly. It is an older hotel, but the bed was comfortable. We would stay there again. We were on the 7th floor so street noise was at a miminum.

Good location for the price.

There is nothing fancy about this hotel but it is in a good location and you can generally get a good rate especially for downtown Seattle. They do need to do some renovation, it is obvious that it is an older hotel but I would recommend it someone looking for a decent place to stay in Seattle.

Great Location

A five minute walk to Pike Market or Pioneer square makes this an excellent choice. The rooms were very clean, the bed/pillows comfortable and Seattles Best coffee is in the hotel and Starbucks across the street. Would definetly stay here again.
