One night airport flop
We got in late from the airport, needed an over night before driving home. For this purpose the EconoLodge was OK. We got to our room down the dark hall and stayed in our room. I don't think there would be anywhere we'd want to go and everything seemed closed down. With some fiddling we got the tv to work. The bed linen is thin and an edge was torn. The area did seem quiet for sleeping.

traveling with family
Most hotels at Seatac were booked but I was still disappointed to have requested a no smoking room and having to sleep in heavy smoke smells. Also, we requested a 9:30 shuttle and were told we could only go at 9 or 10 and then the shuttle would not take us to our gate. Maybe that is airport rules, but it cost us a lot of effort carrying boxes and children and renting a cart. I don't think the driver spoke English so he never explained his refusal.

Not a bad place
I encountered a soft bed, OK shower (nozzle too low for a tall person), easy open windows, moderate noise from Sea-Tac. Not many good restaurants nearby. Not bad for the price.

Econo-Lodge Sea-Tec Seattle
We stayed in the Econo-Lodge Sea-Tec because we spent one day looking around downtown Seattle (the bulk of my trip was not in Seattle). The Hotel looked a bit shabby from the outside, but inside wasn't too bad. The lobby was basic, and the waitstaff were nice. Our room was a lot nicer than I originally thought it would be. The bathroom had a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee pot (I was quite surprised to see all of those items were included in our room!). The bathroom was nice, and the room was clean and well put together. The curtains were wrinkly and the view was cruddy - no biggie. The ice machine down the hall was broken = :( No detection of cigarette smoke in our room (thank goodness). Overall it was perfect for what I needed; a simple quick stay overnight that was comfortable.

Downtown Seattle in Pikes Market has the best places to eat at, shop, etc. They have fabulous sea food, fresh flowers, clothing stores, etc.

Business Stay
Terrible: This place was disgusting and pretty much left me with a personal and business decision not to stay and any choice hotel brand again. When I arrived to check in which was just before 11pm at night, the clerk asked me to wait while she checked my room, a few minutes later-- the room was four doors away--- she returned. I asked "why my room would not be ready as it was an online reservation"? She said oh we had some guest in there that checked out early and I just needed to make sure your room was ready! Check out time 2:00 pm? The mirros were broken, there were no amenities, the electrical reciticals in two locations were out of the wall, the beds could not have cost more than a hundred dollars a piece and the pillow looked as if they were used for a decade. Note I am not prude or uppity up,,, just expect a well taken care of room for a fair price. This room was the second worst room I have ever stayed in and I have extensively traveled for business for more than 20 years. I can't properly describe my experience there with the limited space I have. Other than to say exhausting as I did not sleep out of disgust and aggrivation.

Kinda stinky
Just needed a place to sleep before hitting the road in the morning. In that way it was decent, but it smelled smoky. I was too tired to care. Couldn't have put up with it more than one night though.

Good Motel close to downtown Seattle
The Motel is only a few miles from downtown Seattle, with a bus stop only a few feet from the main entrance Very friendly staff and clean rooms. Though located on a main road the rooms are quiet. The breakfast offered leaves a lot to be desired, but as I'm not a breakfast-person I didn't mind too much.
