Econo-Lodge Sea-Tec Seattle
We stayed in the Econo-Lodge Sea-Tec because we spent one day looking around downtown Seattle (the bulk of my trip was not in Seattle). The Hotel looked a bit shabby from the outside, but inside wasn't too bad. The lobby was basic, and the waitstaff were nice. Our room was a lot nicer than I originally thought it would be. The bathroom had a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee pot (I was quite surprised to see all of those items were included in our room!). The bathroom was nice, and the room was clean and well put together. The curtains were wrinkly and the view was cruddy - no biggie. The ice machine down the hall was broken = :( No detection of cigarette smoke in our room (thank goodness). Overall it was perfect for what I needed; a simple quick stay overnight that was comfortable.

Downtown Seattle in Pikes Market has the best places to eat at, shop, etc. They have fabulous sea food, fresh flowers, clothing stores, etc.

Business Stay
Terrible: This place was disgusting and pretty much left me with a personal and business decision not to stay and any choice hotel brand again. When I arrived to check in which was just before 11pm at night, the clerk asked me to wait while she checked my room, a few minutes later-- the room was four doors away--- she returned. I asked "why my room would not be ready as it was an online reservation"? She said oh we had some guest in there that checked out early and I just needed to make sure your room was ready! Check out time 2:00 pm? The mirros were broken, there were no amenities, the electrical reciticals in two locations were out of the wall, the beds could not have cost more than a hundred dollars a piece and the pillow looked as if they were used for a decade. Note I am not prude or uppity up,,, just expect a well taken care of room for a fair price. This room was the second worst room I have ever stayed in and I have extensively traveled for business for more than 20 years. I can't properly describe my experience there with the limited space I have. Other than to say exhausting as I did not sleep out of disgust and aggrivation.

The Econo Lodge provides a free shuttle from the airport. Good budget accomodation if you want a quick bed after arriving at the airport.

Kinda stinky
Just needed a place to sleep before hitting the road in the morning. In that way it was decent, but it smelled smoky. I was too tired to care. Couldn't have put up with it more than one night though.

Good Motel close to downtown Seattle
The Motel is only a few miles from downtown Seattle, with a bus stop only a few feet from the main entrance Very friendly staff and clean rooms. Though located on a main road the rooms are quiet. The breakfast offered leaves a lot to be desired, but as I'm not a breakfast-person I didn't mind too much.

Worst part of my dream trip
I get to this location to walk in as the man behind the counter was yelling at the customer in front of me. Not very Professional!! I waited for 10 min. to check in while he then proceeded to yell at his help. He then was Very RUDE to me as to checking in. Charged me 20 deposit. The room was dirty. Hair was in the shower and the lock on the door was broken!! Kinda imporant feature I feel! I am not a picky person, nor do I complain, but WOW!!! I did call and make a formal complaint to the motel. I simply will never stay there again! I was there for my dream concert and traveled 10 hours and was not expecting to be yelled at.
