A little dated

Checked into the Hanford House around 7PM in a fairly long line. I was surprised with 8-10 people in line they only had one person at the desk. The hotel is stuck in a time warp, still in the 70's with updates here and there. It was no doubt the best of the best in its time, it still is in a beautiful location and the grounds are very nice. The pool and courtyard is great. One of the more comfortable beds I have stayed in. A face lift is all this place needs to be best in the area again.

The river trail system is right outside the hotel. Great place to go for a run or hang out by the river in the evening.

Red Lion Hanford House

I enjoyed my stay at the Red Lion. The hotel is older but well maintained. The hotel sent a cab to pick me up from the airport at no charge . Food was very good. The hotel grounds are park like and you have direct access to the city park on the river. I would stay there again.

An unusually pleasant stay

Our pleasure in the spacioius and well-furnished room we were initially given was shadowed when we realized that the park it faced was having a sort of city-sponsored family fair that would involve music until 9or 10am that night. But on learning that we had hoped for a really quiet room (we had just arrived from a time zone 3 hours later, and planned an early bedtime) the hotel quickly moved us to a room that faced the quiet river area on the other side -- with apologies for the quite minor effort of repacking a few things and shifting there! The human warmth of the staff's response, added to comfort of the rooms and the hotel's amenities, will definitely bring us back on our next visit to Richland.

Older hotel but well kept

We were just in town for the night. It met our needs. The room was clean and comfortable. We did have housekeeping pounding on our door at 9:00 a.m. so that was a little annoying.

Business Trip

I chose this Hotel based on the previous ratings, the price and the fact that it was by the river. Here are my analysis: Pros: The price and the Resturant on the first floor had amazing food. From the breakfast to the dinner every meal was prepared really well. The people at the resturant were really good at what they did. Cons: Everything else......... The Hotel rooms are like from the 80's that never got renovated. The computer tables are much higher than the Chairs provided for them that were not that comfortible. Internet connection was horrible. I only got 2 bars.. Upon complaining, they gave me a signal booster that made it a little better. Television was HD but, some channels like ABC or TNT werent available but HBO was..go figure. I couldnt watch any games or shows that I like to watch. The Front desk had younger people working there who didnt know what customer service is.. I wish I had payed a little more and gone next door to Hampton Inn that was right off of the River. This hotel was not off the river, but behind it. The front desk rudely told me that since i didnt book the hotel thru them, I wont be getting any rooms that have the view of the River. I dont think I will ever go back to this hotel or suggest any of my friends and co workers to stay there either.

Fun weekend getaway.

The hotels location was awesome. I had a view of the Columbia river, the pool and the park. The staff was very friendly and curtious. The rooms were very average and could stand a very good cleaning but the beds were super comfortable:) I think if I had a complaint it would be that housekeeping needs to be more attention to detail. Wipe things down, disinfect and clean the room more efficiently for the next guest! I found a pair of women's worn panties in my living room that did not belong to me and it thoroughly grossed me out!!!

Great location.

Richland wasn't where we needed to be-but it was worth the drive from Pasco..15min. We had a river view-catherdral ceiling-balcony. Walk right down to the river walk/park, easy access to our car. Large lawn area to walk the pooch-volley ball court rt by pool and lawn. Wld stay there again!
