Friendly and comfortable hotel

We found the hotel to be very nice. The king-sized bed was very hard, but there was a sofabed that was comfy and we used that. Everything else was perfect. The hotel had a great breakfast bar with everything anyone could want for breakfast. They also served soup and crackers each evening at 6:30. In the cold of December, that soup was very welcome. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We would stay there again, and recommend it to anyone.

Great Room, Real Stuffy Attitude

The beds were on the firmer side but super duper comfy, the kind you don't want to get out of. The staff were friendly at check in but I made the mistake of having a single cigarette on the balcony. the managment called to threaten me with eviction for this single mistake and i apologized profusely on the phone and again at the desk when leaving for dinner, and got nasty attitude and nasty looks, and they wouldn't look me in the eye. it made the whole stay so uncomfortable that i didn't even want to call and request a wake up call or go down for breakfast. when someone goes out of their way to apologize for an honest mistake TWICE and gets nothing but threats and attitude, it makes it a place i would never return to, and would seriously think hard about even staying at this brand again in other locations. also, they call the room a river view room but the river is several miles away, and you can see it past all the shopping and traffic areas you have to look at first, but it certainly isn't the kind of view that is worth any extra money.
