Lots of fun!
My wife and I stayed here for out one year anniversary. We had never been to Ocean Shores before, and picked the Polynesian Resort to stay at because it had a pool, hot-tub and we could bring our dog (we ended up getting a dog-sitter though). The front desk people were great, super friendly and knew what to do in the area. [...], in particular was the coolest hotel guy ever! The continental breakfast was good, there was plenty of food. The pool/hot-tub were perfect, the game room was cool... Nice little walk to the beach. ***This hotel is not right on the beach... You can see the ocean, kind of, over probably 250 yards of sand dunes - was not worth the extra $90 I paid to upgrade to a room with a "view"!***Overall this was a great little hotel. We would definitely stay there again.Food worth mentioning - Dugan's Pizza delivers until midnight and is FAST and AMAZING! Also - Galway Bay Irish Restaurant was INCREDIBLE.

not impressed
I went to have a nice quiet weekend away, I was a little disappointed when I saw the hotel room. It was very outdated and dingy. The toilet looked like it was stained yellow. The worst thing was the fact that the walls are paper thin. When someone in another room flushes a toilet it sounds like theres a waterfall going do your wall. You could hear every move the people above you made, and every word the people outside spoke. The parking spaces were about 5 steps from the doors, so that didn't help. I will not be staying there again.

When you drive on the beach, stay close to the water. When you get into the dryer sand it's much softer, and you will get stuck. I learned the hard way.

Premium Beach Resort
This establishment knows how to run a good business, with beautiful well maintained rooms and grounds. The restaurant is awesome. The chefs do a terrific job. The attention to details and professional, courteous staff get my A+ rating.

No one should miss the beach adventure at the southern tip of Ocean Shores. At Protection Island, you'll be treated to scenic terrain and dramatic waves. You can see Westport across the harbor. You'll see deer on the 3.2 mile drive south, to get there. When at the beach, there are flocks of seagulls and pelicans. Great for looking for beach rocks, although I think on a reserve you are not supposed to take stuff off of there.

Family Friendly Hotel
We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Polynesian Resort in Ocean Shores, WA. Although we did not have children with us, we saw that it was a wonderful place for a family. They had their own play ground on property as well as an indooor pool and access to the beach. The continental breakfast was quite plentiful. We saw several familes there. They seemed to be having a nice time. Pets were also permitted. There was also a very nice restaurant on site where we enjoyed dinner. We found the hotel clean and in good repair. We would drefinitely visit again and recommend to our friends.

very pet friendly
The Hotel is located at the end of the hotel strip with lots of parklike area for people ande pets alike, they have a nice area just for walking your dog too. The beach is just far enough away to keep the hotel area from being windy and cold and close enough for a comfortable walk. They have heavy duty baggies available so you can pick up after your dog so one did not find surprises along the way. And we found the whole town of Ocean Shores to be people and pet friendly. We ate at their restaurant the very last night and I was sorry we hadn't eaten there sooner-service was great, food yummy which comes from a vegetarian point of view and I had not had a good dinner until then. My husband also had his best meal there as well- he eats meat. We both plan on returning to the Polynesian Resort. I can't speak for the dog, but we think she had a good time too.

in one direction, you can look for whales and in the other shops and places to ride horses on the beach, etc. And if nightlife is interesting to you, there is a Casino- but we don't care for that sort of thing.
