Ramada Ocean Shores WA

We had a great time at the Ramada in Ocean Shores. The staff was friendly, the location was convenient, and the Karaoke at the restaurant on Saturday night was great fun!

Once we arrived we checked in and went to the room to check it out, w/o bags and was in there only about five minutes. We, my daughter and I, went outside to talk about the room and decided to cancel the reservation due to the discrepancies in the description of the room/hotel. We tried to open the window, which did not even have a balcony and it did not open but only a inch...we couldn't breathe the ocean air. I have trouble w/claustrophobia and the fact that it was at the very end of the beach, not in walking distance, the view of the ocean was there, but it was not in walking distance either, we couldn't find the pool, the exercise room was 'small' and the spa door didn't even open, the restaurant was located out from the entrance and there was no shuttle to the beach, only to the casino...we were not interested interested in the casino. After talking w/[...] at the front desk, she said she was not able to help us with a refund since we had checked in (I'll not do that again, but I'll ask to see the room first before checking in since 5 minutes in the room cost me over a $100)[...]. Jennifer called the general manager, but would not budge on the refund of the first night, since we entered the room...and did not give 24 hours noticed which I was not aware of this policy. [...] we gave the key cards back to [...] and told her we would not be staying that night, and we ended up going to a different motel to celebrate my daughter's 21st Birthday. (at an additional cost of $225 and the cost of a few hours trying to resolve the problem) I did call, explained again, to no resolve and I asked the general manager to call be the next day, which [...] at the hotel, took my name and number, but the general manager did not call me. (No one would tell me her name). [...]If I have learned anything, I will in the future ask about cancellation policies, ask to see the room before checking in and the other accommodations. I would never have booked the reservation to the Ramada, knowing the room had no balcony or even a window that would open all the way, that there was no shuttle to the beach, that the beach/ocean was not in walking distance, that there was not access to the spa/pool, that the staff there was not helpful or polite...like saying my name and not referring to me as 'that woman'. I am sorry that my experience with the Ramada was beyond horrible (and now having to spend more time to write this letter)[...]. I hope that a refund will finally happen since we did not stay in the room - otherwise, I guess it's another life experience learned and maybe the consumer has to be wary of places like the Ramada at Ocean Shores. Hotel is along the strip minutes away from the ocean. Great ocean view from the room. The room was larger than expected and had all the amenities one would need. The hotel staff was very friendly and curtious. The only negative I would mention is there was no continental breakfast. Other than that everything was great!

We feel like we really got our moneys worth for the first time ever while staying at Ocean Shores thanks to The Ramada, Exceptionally well maintained, very clean, excellent customer service and all amenities and accomodations were outstanding. Thank you

We went to Ocean Shores to "experience" the Chowder cook-off. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean. Nothing to write home about just nice and clean. The beds were a bit firm but not lumpy or bad. The swimming pool is not located close to the rooms so it is open all the time. We thought that was a plus and the next time we will bring suits. We would recommend this as an nice economical place to stay for your weekend getaways.

Relaxed. Enjoyed a run on the beach. Get away from the city. Off season, so less crowds. Enjoyed this stay better than the last trip to Ocean Shores.

Hotel is the right size - not too large as others in the area. Very quiet and peaceful setting.

I was very upset that the whole reason I decided to go and stay at that hotel was because I was under the impression that they had a waterpark. When I got to the hotel and checked in I found out they didn't have a waterpark or pool. I would have never went there if I would have known that.

The desk staff was great, but the room was small and full of bugs. We were on the first floor and didn't have a view. we couldn't have seen anything anyway, the air conditioner dripped water all over the window. Nice location, a lot more could be done with this place with some small upgrades.
