nothwest vacation

I went to most of the tourist attractions in the greater Seattle area. Since I was on a weekly rate, they only cleaned the room twice a week. Also there was no free WI-FI in the rooms. Overall I would give it a favorable rating and recommend it to others. It was close to everything and the price was pretty reasonable. 2 thumbs up!!!

Sightseeing tip: Not Applicable

You would need a car rental to get around, but Seattle has a very good mass transit system. You could either use I-5 or I-405 to get around the area to visit most of the attractions Seattle has to offer.

So disappointed.

I was in Seattle for a doula (labor coach) workshop at Bastyr University. I chose Motel 6 because I'd stayed at other branches and they've always been clean and inexpensive. I got checked in and immediately when I walked into the room I was overwhelmed by the stench of cat pee and chemicals. It was horrible! I knew if I stayed, I wouldn't be able to get the smell out of my clothes. I asked for a new room, and the second room still smelled - not as bad as the first, but definitely not pleasant. There were also bugs in my room, and the bathroom shower tiles were very dirty. I didn't bother changing rooms again, because I was afraid every room they put me in would be awful. Instead, I bought a can of Febreeze and sprayed EVERYTHING down. I slept in my own blankets because the others smelled so badly. I was there for three nights when someone at the conference heard about the awful hotel and she and her husband graciously bought me a room at a different hotel for my last night there. The clerk at Motel 6 refused to give me a refund! I argued with her for almost 30 minutes, asking to see her manager, and she kept refusing, threatening to call the cops if I didn't leave! I told her I wasn't leaving without speaking to her manager and she finally gave in. He gave me the refund for the last night (all I wanted!) without arguing. This was a horrible experience and I would NOT recommend staying at this hotel.

Great price, very clean.

Good price ($62 after taxes for 2 persons, 2 beds). Very clean. Great shower pressure and plenty of hot water. Location very near major hwys. The drawback? No shampoo, conditioner or lotion supplied. No coffee maker, refer or microwave. But if you're just there to sleep for the night....can't beat it for the price!

Not bad not great...it's Motel 6

Had to book online to get best rate. Desk person was ok but not all that thrilled about helping me get it done. Requested a room away from highway side (noisey). Was told no guarantee (non energetic response) however at check in they did make that happen and the particular desk person that night was quite helpful. All things considered, it was an ok solution and I would use it again when needing a low priced room.

Good location, great price!

Reserved room through Orbitz, which saved me some money. Staff were friendly and accomadating. Requested a non-smoking room, but it was located near other smoking rooms and there was an ashtray in it. It reaked of smoke. An air freshener and the fan helped with the smell. My dog was welcome without an extra fee and thankfully the room didn't smell like urine. Room was clean. No shampoo available, but that wasn't a problem because I grabbed some from the local store when buying the airfreshener. Hotel had good location but would have been difficult to find if I hadn't called a local for directions.

not worth the money

The room I stayed in was very stinky, due to the fact that this room doesn't have any kind of ventalation system, bedding and verything else smell real bad, it smell like dirty ashtray and unclean pet allover, there's no microwave, no drawer, not even a radio clock to wake you up. At night time, nobody seem to be sleeping, it's very noisy. The only good part is because it's located close to the highway, the malls, the restaurants, etc...I would not recommended to anybody. All and all a bad experience.

Nice, but...

This Motel 6 lives up to the reputation of other Motel 6s. Two nights were noisy; one with people in and out of rooms, slamming doors, and the other night sounded like someone was being slammed against the wall. A call to the office did not produce results. The shower was easy to get in and out of along with a seat to sit on.

There was some shopping available across the street but I did not use it. Also a mini mart was on the corner to buy last minute items.

It's OKay

This Motel 6 was like many other we have stayed in...pillows are too flat, bed too hard, parking lot crazy to get in to. But if you need a cheap place to stay it works.

Shopping was near by and there is a NEW sporting goods store almost on site. Gas and mini-mart was on the corner for ice and quick needs as well.
