Very good. Only, just because we only take 1 queen, we are 2! Would have appreciated service for 2, not 1.

Enjoyed the spa and pool staff was friendly the breakfast was basic but was very clean

The room wasn't ready when I arrived (at 8:00 pm), it was 'basically' clean, the towels where "ok", the hotel needs paint and is by two very busy (thus loud) roads. This is a 2 start hotel and that is all that it is. You get what you pay for, a very cheap room. If cost is your main concern you will be happy here.

The door to the room needs to be maintained as it didn't close tight and you had to pull it away from the jam to engage the dead bolt. When we returned from dinner there were several law enforcement people there and a bunch of people milling around our room. Never did find out what happened, but it looked like a party in a room had been broken up.

This is the first time I visited Washington, and I chose Howard Johnson along with my package mainly because it was the cheapest. They didn't have such great reviews, but I didn't mind. When I arrived, the workers at the front desk were all very courteous. My room was clean and cozy. Included was a microwave, small fridge, coffee maker with tea bags, coffee, sugar, non-dairy creamer, and about 4 cups. There was also an ice bucket with a couple more cups. If the guest forgot essentials such as toothpaste or razors, they provide them for free! I was surprised about the microwave and fridge which I was also happy about. The lobby or office is where there's breakfast, and there's a great selection. Four different kinds of cereal, mini muffins, oatmeal, make your own waffles, drinks, etc. It tasted great too! There's a pool, but it is too cold during this time. My most favorite aspect about this motel is that they have a fitness room. It's tiny, but it's sufficient. One treadmill, one elliptical, and one bike machine. There's a television and each machine gets a remote. There's a bathroom with a shower in there as well. I definitely made use of that. I even used it twice in one day because the food in Washington is amazing and also huge portions! The treadmill and bike machine is so cool because there is a speaker on each machine, and you can plug in your mp3 player, and the sound fills up the room. I was truly impressed. For the tv, they included two HBO channels which was nice, as well as nick, abc, lifetime, soap, and some others that I don't remember. Across the street is a Dennys and next door is a Mexican restaurant called "El Marlin" and I didn't make use of the it, but if you show your room key card, they will give you a discount as I was told. I went to Washington to visit a friend so she drove me around. I wish I could've stayed longer because I truly enjoyed Washington more than I thought I would, and part of it is because of my stay at Howard Johnson. Check in and check out was seriously less than 4 minutes. No hassle, no problems. I will definitely return to WA, and choose to stay at Howard Johnson again! P.S. FREE WI-FI!

Staff and rooms were both satisfactory. Parking was crowded and lot access was very poor due to being so close to access to a state highway. Motel traffic exiting onto busy thoroghfare was almost impossible.

If you like showers that go from hot to cold then cold to hot, every 10 seconds, then this hotel is for you. My only wish is that the Board of Directors of Howard Johnson would be forced to stay here for five days.

Value for the money is great, good breakfast with top notch cereals and wafflemaker. Staff was very responsive when we needed lightbulbs.

We checked into the hotel and the staff was friendly and suggested a great place to eat for lunch. We went to our non-smoking room and found cigarette burns in the bedspread and the blanket and stains on the sheets and towels. The room smelled like someone had smoked in it the night before. The freeway was right next to the hotel and when trucks went by the room shook. We went down the street and paid for a second room at the Comfort Inn. It was great. Never again HOJO.

A good buy, good value.
