Comfort Inn Kent

We came into town for the night for my grandfathers funeral service. The hotel was pretty easy to find. The person at the front desk was very nice and tried to accomodate us as best as possible. There was a pool, hot tub, and an excersise room, but we did not use. The hotel was really quiet and all the staff was very nice. There was a few maintenance issues however. The bar in the shower was really loose. If someone had to use it, I dont know if it would stay attached. The HVAC unit in the room worked, but was probabally older than me. The thermostat on it wasnt very responsive. It was either on full or blowing really cold air. There is a place to eat right across the street, but that is the only one nearby unless fast food works for you. The breakfast was pretty small and not full of a lot of choices.

We had a great experience at this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and large enough for two people for a week. We tend to not use housekeeping when staying in hotels, but there was never any complaint about them from any other members of our party. The complimentary breakfast was not the most diversified we have seen but there was enough options that we never went anywhere else for breakfast. The staff also did an amazing job of keeping the food well stocked. The hotel was quiet there were two large groups of kids staying there at the same time and we never heard them. It is located off a major road so with the window open we got traffic noise but it wasn't noticeable with the window closed. The location worked well for us. We were in Seattle for a wedding so we spent a lot of time with family, who live in Kent. However, when we had free time the hotel was conveniently located right off a major road and we could be in Seattle in 15 minutes. The only real issue we had was that our room key had to be reprogrammed 3 times. We are not really sure if it was something we kept doing with them or if it was an issue with the hotel its self but to us it was a minor inconvenience. Overall we had a fantastic experience at this hotel and the next time we are in Seattle we will stay there again.

We arrived Sat. May 16th 09 and checked in the hotel around 4:00, I requested a room on the first floor because it is difficult to walk a far distance, was told none was availble so we took a room on second floor. We had our 8 lb. dog with us so we paid our extra 20.00 and off to the room we went and put everything away. We then went to our grandson's double header little league game with the dog and had a great time, but as the game was over we were tired and sore, so we stopped along the way back to the hotel, picked up takeout, up to the room we went. As we settled in, changed our clothes, the phone rang and clerk asked if we had a dog, I said yes, she was checked in with us earlier and I had paid my deposit. She informed me we were not in a pet room so we had to move down to the first floor. I couldn't believe it, first, I had ask for a room on the first floor and was told none was availble and now they had us move all our stuff without help at 10:00 at nite. The next morning, a bill was slipped under the door asking for 20.00 more for the pet, I won't even go into how long it took to explain that it was already paid at checkin.....will not stay in this Comfort Inn again.

The hotel is very nice. Pool and spa area were clean. Hotel staff friendly and the bed was comfortable.
